Hunan Medical College, located in Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is a public full-time general medical undergraduate college, directly under the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, and was selected into the excellent doctoral education and training program. The school was founded on 19 12, formerly known as Changsha Red Cross Nursing Training College founded by Yan Fuqing, a famous medical educator who returned from the United States, and formally established Changsha Shu Ren Nursing School on 1924.
196 1 moved from Changsha to Anjiang to establish qianyang district health school, 1984 moved to Huaihua and changed its name to Huaihua district health school. In 2000, it was upgraded to Huaihua Medical College. In May 20 14, it was upgraded to Hunan Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
The school has national drug clinical trial institutions, Hunan Dong Medicine Research Key Laboratory, Hunan New Antibody Drugs and Intelligent Transport System Key Laboratory, Hunan Traditional Chinese Medicine Synthetic Biology Key Laboratory, Hunan Respiratory and Critical Care Clinical Medical Technology Demonstration Base, and Hunan Multiple Severe Trauma Treatment Clinical Medical Technology Demonstration Base.
Provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms such as the demonstration base of clinical medical technology for myocardial injury in Hunan Province and the innovative research base of ethnic medicine and ethnic culture and social science in Hunan Province are the supporting units of China-Pakistan Traditional Chinese Medicine Center and the leading units in the construction of medical and health centers in western Hunan.
The school is the national base for practical skills examination of clinical practitioners. At present, there are 8 directly or indirectly affiliated hospitals, covering general hospitals, traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, maternal and child health care hospitals and rehabilitation hospitals. The First Affiliated Hospital is a national standardized training base for residents, a post-doctoral research station of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, and a post-doctoral innovation and entrepreneurship practice base.
Over the past century, the school has trained health professionals for the society, especially a large number of application-oriented high-quality medical and health professionals who can "get down, stay and use well" for Wuling Mountain area. The school has won the honor of "National Advanced Unit of Health System".
