How long is the first-class third officer training in inland rivers?
The training time of the first-class three pairs and the first-class three-tube wheel shall not be less than 450 hours. The training time for first-class captain, first mate, first-class chief engineer, first-class tugboat, second-class driver and second-class engineer shall not be less than 300 hours, and the training time for second-class captain, second-class chief engineer, third-class driver and third-class engineer shall not be less than 150 hours. The actual operation training time should be no less than one third of the total time. Navigation area (line) training time should be no less than 24 hours. Before the start of competency training and special training for all kinds of seafarers, typical accident cases must be preached for at least 2 hours, and special time should be arranged to teach mandatory regulations on ship pollution prevention and instructions on the operation and use of pollution prevention equipment. The above training time is the minimum requirement. Unless otherwise stipulated by the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport, the crew training institution may increase the training content and training time according to the actual situation.
