Employment rate and employment prospect of mechanical design, manufacturing and automation specialty

Employment rate of graduates: 92.0 1%.

Hot spot analysis: It is a major aimed at training modern mechanical engineers, and it is also one of the oldest majors in China universities. Over the years, its enduring mystery lies in the fact that no matter how advanced a society's civilization is, it cannot be separated from machinery manufacturing, which is the basic guarantee for people's material necessities.

Candidate category: science and engineering.

Employment prospects: Mainly engaged in the design and manufacturing, scientific and technological development, applied research, operation management, sales and other work in the field of machinery manufacturing in the front line of industrial production.

The five provinces and cities with the largest employment distribution are Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Liaoning and Shandong.

Statistics on employment distribution of graduates:

Percentage of employed industries or departments

State-owned enterprises 34.35%

Postgraduate admission 14.68%

Private enterprises 12.59%

Other institutions 1. 10%

Universities 1.23%

Organ 1.24%

Scientific research and design units 7.94%

Foreign-funded enterprises 12. 14%

Troop 3.54%

Primary and secondary schools and other teaching units 0.99%

Go abroad 1.43%

Self-employment 0.43%

Financial unit 0.25%

Medical and health units 0.08%

Note: The professional direction and employment rate are: mechanical manufacturing technology and equipment 88.68%, mechanical design and manufacturing 82.72%, automobile and tractor 8 1.6 1%, rolling stock engineering 9 1.44%, fluid transmission and control 84.53%, vacuum technology and equipment 88.89.

Machinery is a major with a relatively high employment rate at present, but how much you earn depends on your future ability. Generally, there are about 4,000 graduate students and 3,000 undergraduate students in the north.

In addition to teaching and marketing, the employment direction of mechanical majors also includes: production director (production supervisor), logistics management, equipment management, quality management, project management, mechanical and electrical product development, mechanical product development, hydraulic product development, instrument development, weapon development, automobile industry, environmental protection equipment development, mine equipment design, mold design and manufacturing, mechanical manufacturing technologist, numerical control engineer and so on.

Undergraduate students who have just graduated from mechanical major now generally quote 800- 1500 yuan/month. In many industries, outsiders don't look decent enough, but when you are an expert, the treatment is really attractive. Such as equipment maintenance, numerical control maintenance, environmental protection equipment design, etc. Engineers in these fields earn a lot of money, for example, some engineers earn more than 300 thousand a year. There are also some industries that need a wide range of knowledge, involving interdisciplinary, and the treatment is amazing. Moreover, after China's entry into WTO, it is only a matter of time before the demand for mechanical talents recovers.

Numerical control direction

Entry-level equipment: analyzing drawings and processes, determining NC machining paths and cutting tools, preparing fixtures, compiling NC machining programs and machining (including clamping parts, aligning, trial machining of the first piece, etc.). ). Of course, there is automatic programming, the common automatic programming software: Mastercam (which is less and less used at present), UG and Pro/e are the mainstream learning software at present.

UG is difficult to learn well in a short time, and it should take about a year to master it. But in any case, you must learn, it is useful to enter a door, and you must understand finite element analysis. In this respect, the books compiled by Peking University are very good, but it seems that they are only V 18.0. Now NX2.0 is popular, which is a little more convenient than the former.

Suggested equipment: take advantage of all available opportunities to practice and exercise, and it is best to go to the grass-roots workshop. The process set by the engineer allows you to realize the application. In this process, you should consider the principle of this design. If it were you, could you handle it? You can learn a lot when you get there, and the mastery of various application software is generally done in the workshop. Maybe you will even understand that technology can't be improved in the office there.

Mould processing direction

Now the molds are more and more complicated, and the highly skilled designers are worth millions. If you want to become a high-level mold designer, you can choose to go to the workshop to engage in craft and mold processing, which will certainly lay a solid foundation for your growth. In addition, advanced mathematics and Matlab are very helpful for mold design, especially for reverse engineering and complex design. There are mainly stamping dies, injection molding, extrusion molding and so on. , you can look at the professional teaching materials, and then design the mold. At present, you must skillfully use the commonly used three-dimensional processing software AutoCAD (UG, Pro/E, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, CATIA, etc. ).

When doing a resume, you can highlight your drawing ability and your ability to work hard and be good at learning. Some students like to describe it like this when filling out their resumes: "Skillfully master the use of Pro/e, Ug and other software." In fact, many experts who have worked for many years have no courage to write like this. If we can master the main software in a certain direction at school, it will probably rain in Mao Mao when we graduate.

I suggest you find some books that mainly introduce examples to learn, do it yourself, and then do it yourself, and you can basically get started. Then you have to buy a manual and put it on your desk for reference.

Other technical directions

Entry equipment: the computer must master AutoCAD, add a three-dimensional software, and Office at least. Learn how to read and draw! Because it is the language of engineers.

Suggested equipment: read books on project management and 6δ quality management. Technology-to-management is the dream of many engineering students, and project management is the stage for technicians to realize this dream. In addition, it is about quality management. If conditions permit, you can even participate in the series of ISO system certification training (some schools have started to hold ISO internal auditor certification training courses, which only need one exam, and then you can receive a certain period of follow-up training every year for life). In practice, your knowledge in production management, production planning and scheduling, quality management, site management, process planning, equipment management and maintenance, safety management and production management system.

At present, in China, the employment development status and prospects of mechanical students are very good, except for the mold industry and automobile industry. Students can try to do some reverse engineering in school (that is, design according to other people's products), and do something decent before looking for a job, which may win you a good job. In the technical field, whether you can find a job is determined by skills and works, which is more convincing than academic qualifications. Then there is the name of engineer, which is actually just a courtesy title for technicians. Real engineers usually have to take the exam for 5-6 years after graduation.

Marketing direction

Entry equipment: You should at least know the performance parameters and working principles of various products in this line, and even you should be basically qualified as an after-sales service engineer. Now marketing is more and more detailed and professional. If you are not better than other majors in mechanical engineering, why don't people want a glib marketing major?

Suggested equipment: take marketing as an elective course, determine the main attack direction after graduation as soon as possible, and understand its market dynamics. The old problem is, internship-even without salary. The experience accumulated in this way can win you an interview.

There are many girls who study machinery in marketing, and some of them are teachers and warehouse managers. I think employment needs personal interest and ability, or we should find a way by ourselves. You still need to build your own life. If you know more knowledge, you will naturally understand that there is no shortcut in life. Only diligence and hard work can make you successful.
