The American Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) will adjust the examination conditions for Certified Management Accountants (CMA) according to the specific situation of China's accounting industry. CMA's initial application condition is that it has a bachelor's degree, or a certificate from CPA in China, CPA in the United States, CGA in Canada and ACCA in the United Kingdom, or a GRE score of more than 50%. The above conditions are harsh for China candidates. Therefore, IMA agreed to lower the threshold of CMA after investigating the national conditions of China. In the future, those with college education, certain professional work experience and certified public accountants can apply for a bachelor's degree within the four-year validity period of a single subject.
