There are two scientific research institutions in social sciences, namely the Research Center of Humanities and Social Sciences of Xi International Studies University and the Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Linguistic Cognitive Neuroscience.

The Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Linguistic Cognitive Neuroscience of Xi International Studies University is an important academic research institution. The development idea of the laboratory is to "explore the mystery of language, tap language talent, protect language ability and help language intelligence", and the ultimate intention is to build an interdisciplinary research platform with the long-term goal of language-like brain intelligence system.
