After the outbreak of the All-round Anti-Japanese War, Li Youbang, a patriot from Taiwan Province Province who was exiled in Lishui, mobilized and organized Taiwan Province compatriots scattered in mainland provinces to participate in the motherland War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression with the help of the governments of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces and the production party of China.
Volunteers mainly come from Taiwan Province compatriots who are exiled in Chong 'an County (now Wuyishan City) in northern Fujian. 1In September, 938, Li Youbang came to Chong 'an, Fujian Province, and brought 30 or 40 registered Taiwan compatriots to Jinhua. Doctors formed a mobile medical team, while others conducted short-term training and political propaganda work. There are six children in their family, so they formed the "Taiwan Province Youth League". 1939 In February, the Taiwan Province Volunteer Team was established in Jinhua, with Li Youbang as the team leader. The activities of the Volunteer Team began in Jinhua, with more than 200 members.
Taiwan Province Volunteers, headquartered in Zhejiang, are active in southeast provinces. Their main tasks include the following four items: First, work against the enemy. Due to historical reasons, Taiwan Province compatriots are familiar with Japanese and understand the psychology of Japanese soldiers who were forced to fight in China, so they are very suitable for propaganda against the Japanese army. The second is medical work. During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the demand for medical services was very urgent. The Taiwan Province Volunteer Corps established the first Taiwan Province hospital before Jinhua, followed by the second Taiwan Province hospital in Quzhou, the third Taiwan Province hospital in Lanxi and the fourth Taiwan Province hospital in Jianyang, Fujian. The third is to produce and serve the country. Taiwan Province volunteers overcame difficulties and made quinine pills, stomach medicines and skin ointments. And send them to the frontline troops. In the case of extreme lack of medical care and medicine in wartime, it is simply a timely help. The fourth is a condolence work trip. This work is mainly carried out by the Youth League Committee of Taiwan Province Province. Although they are young, they are very patriotic. They study while "working" and often patrol the front and southeast provinces to boost the morale of the front soldiers and the enthusiasm of the people in the rear.
1942 After the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Campaign broke out in May, Taiwan Province Volunteers were ordered to move from Jinhua to Longyan, Fujian, and persisted until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Later, Li Youbang led some volunteers back to Taiwan Province Province to devote themselves to the reconstruction work after returning home.
