Like his father Jin, he was outstanding in the field of Jun glaze technology, and finally became one of the few Jun porcelain masters with outstanding achievements in actual production and theoretical research. His works are mainly shaped by traditional vessels such as bottles, statues, washers and ding. And the firing process prefers wood firing. He thinks that Jun kiln has more advantages than traditional firing by using wood. Therefore, his glaze color is different from his father's style, and the glaze color picture composed of "flowing linear structure" is magnificent, wonderful and profound.

In addition to his creation, he also devoted himself to the cultural accumulation and research of ceramic art. Growth record

Everyone's son

When it comes to Jun porcelain and Jin Xiaotong, we can't help but mention his father, the late famous Jun porcelain artist Jin. Those who really know and love Jun porcelain, if they can collect a few pieces of gold Jun porcelain works, it is a dream and something to boast about.

1962, Jin began to study the art of Jun porcelain, visited the ruins of ancient Jun kiln and collected a large number of Jun porcelain materials. Jun porcelain specimens produced in Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties are readily available, and the specimens of Jun kiln sites all over the country, especially more than 60 kiln sites in Yuzhou City, Henan Province, are well preserved. Jin buried himself in these ancient Jun porcelain materials, accompanied by kiln fire all his life, selfless dedication, regardless of fame and fortune, and his book "Jun Kiln History" independently filled the gap in the history of Jun kilns in China. Mr. Jin's love for Jun porcelain art stems from his understanding of Jun porcelain art, and he advocates the harmonious concept of common development of Jun porcelain family. At the same time, in conjunction with colleges and universities, we will inject fresh impetus into the development of Jun porcelain culture and art from the aspects of modeling, glaze color, material and technology, and practice the concept of "prospering Jun through science and technology".

Under the influence of Mr. Jin Lao, Jin Xiaotong, who worked hard and didn't talk much, followed his father for more than 30 years. Experienced the growth process from apprentice, artist, technician, artist to contemporary Jun porcelain artist. His father's principle of being indifferent to utility and being strict with himself has a subtle influence on his mental journey. When faced with the joy of success, the pain of failure and more hardships, he can be willing to be lonely and devote himself to the exploration and research of Jun porcelain art.

Inherit the teachings of Fang Jia.

When Jin Xiaotong was a child, Mr. Jin insisted that Jin Xiaotong, who was only 14 years old at that time, learn the firing technique of Jun porcelain small charcoal stove according to his simple thought of "home has fertile fields and thousands of hectares". At that time, Jin Xiaotong went to school during the day. After school, he helped his father burn a small furnace Jun kiln and do a glaze test.

1980, Jin Xiaotong entered Yuxian Jun Porcelain Art Factory, studied under Mr. Wen, and studied Jun Porcelain kiln firing technology. With the recruitment of Jun Porcelain Factory No.2, he entered the factory as an apprentice. The following year, Henan Arts and Crafts Society held a training course on ceramic design in Henan Province in Shenyang, and Jin Xiaotong was lucky enough to be selected. At the end of the training course, Jin Xiaotong's Portrait of the General in Liangshan Park 108 was praised by Mr. Xu Guozhen. After Mr. Xu's strong recommendation, he entered the design room of Jun Porcelain Factory No.2 at that time to design Jun Porcelain products. In Jin Xiaotong's view, without this precious learning opportunity, it would be impossible to engage in the later artistic creation of Jun porcelain. Whenever this matter is mentioned, what Jin Xiao often says is: Teacher's kindness.

arduous training

Jin Xiaotong worked as a designer in the design room of Jun Porcelain Factory No.2 in his last year. Influenced by the new trend of modern ceramic art, he had a strong creative impulse and devoted himself to creating more than 40 pieces of Jun Porcelain new art works in one year by means of clay inlay. With the closure of Jun Porcelain Factory No.1 and No.2 at that time, Jin Xiaotong's family was laid off and unemployed, and the whole family lost their wages. Under such harsh living conditions, Jin Xiaotong spent an extremely difficult time with his father and family. At this time, Jin Xiaotong helped his father do some auxiliary research work while studying beside him. Under the guidance of Mr. Jin Lao, Jin Xiaotong began with ceramic raw materials, carving, drawing and carving, and gradually went deep into the technological research of Jun porcelain blank glaze formula. After 13 years of technical honing, he has gradually become a comprehensive expert in Jun porcelain industry.

Elderly care

In the process of Jin Xiaotong's growth, he has been cared for by many experts and leaders. While appreciating Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works, President Yang Zhihai of China National Light Industry Federation prefaced his ceramic monograph. Yang Zipeng, president of China Arts and Crafts Society, showed great care for Jin Jun porcelain. He strongly recommended it to the contestants of the Hong Kong International Ceramic Art Competition and wrote the name of the factory for him personally.

Lu, curator of China National Museum, taught Jin Xiaotong earnestly, which pointed out the direction for his creation.

Yan, president of China Collectors Association, directed Jin Xiaotong's creation of Jun porcelain many times and wrote an inscription for it: Jin Jiajun Porcelain, National Treasure.

Fu Hewang, vice chairman of China Ceramic Industry Association, is very concerned about and loves the development of Jin Jun porcelain, and often personally guides Jin Xiaotong's creation. Teacher Zhang Shouzhi, Mr. Yuan Ningfu, Li Ziyuan from Shandong, Liu Lizhong from Hebei, Chen Wenzeng from Longquan and Xu Chaoxing all gave selfless help to Mr. Jin Xiaotong's creation.

1990 Jin Xiaotong's "Big Sunflower Furnace" came out with great momentum. It was exhibited in Beijing during the Asian Games and published in various Jun porcelain books and periodicals. More than 30 works by Jin Xiaotong 1996 and 1998 were selected for Hong Kong International Jun Porcelain Exhibition and Osaka International Jun Porcelain Exhibition respectively. After that, Jin Xiaotong's "Straightened Inscription" went to new york to participate in the "East-West Artists Exchange Exhibition". From 200/kloc-0 to 2003, at the invitation of Yang Tonghuan, director of Beijing Institute of Arts and Crafts, he copied 72 pieces of ceramic cultural relics for Shandong Museum, involving ancient pottery, primitive porcelain, tricolor, Han Qing, Qin, Han, Tang and Song dynasties and many other porcelain varieties. In April 2003, Jinjiajun Kiln Studio was established. In the same year, he was elected as the director of China Ceramic Industry Association. In 2008, Jin Xiaotong's hand-painted Petunia bottle won the gold medal in the Hong Kong International Ceramics Competition and was collected by the British National Treasure Museum. In the same year, he was elected vice president of Hong Kong International Ceramic Art Research Institute and vice president of Hong Kong International Ceramic Artists Association. In 2009, the National Museum of China once again collected Jin Xiaotong's wood-fired Jun porcelain "Milk Nail Pot". Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works over the years, such as Feng 'er Pipa Bottle, Celestial Bottle, Taiping Zun and Sunflower Zun, are regarded as the classics of contemporary Jun porcelain and collected by many domestic museums and libraries. Mr. Jin Xiaotong has become a recognized rising star in the field of Jun porcelain, the pillar of the middle-aged echelon and the firecracker of Jun porcelain culture and art.

Jin Xiaotong is not only engaged in the artistic creation of Jun porcelain, but also devoted to the cultural accumulation and research of modern, contemporary and ancient ceramic art. Up to now, he has completed many academic monographs on Jun porcelain and ceramics, such as Talking about Jun Kiln and Exploring the Origin of Jun Kiln and China Ceramic Art.

Personality achievement

Grinding jun glaze

The reason why Mr. Jin Xiaotong can become a master of Jun porcelain art has a lot to do with his continuous efforts in the development of Jun glaze. Mr. Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works are famous for their bright glaze color and elegant shape, and they are the perfect combination of kiln glaze and ceramics. Walking into the showroom of Jinjiajun Kiln, we can clearly see that his works are very different from other Jun porcelain kilns in style and characteristics. I saw that its glaze color is gorgeous and changeable, rich and dignified, green as grass, red as begonia, purple as tomato skin, far-reaching artistic conception, like flamingo silver flowers, like exploring the bottom of the sea, like the west wind of ancient roads, and exquisite and wonderful patterns composed of natural kiln changes, which often make people think, and its shape is simple and elegant, which makes people think beyond time and space and connect ancient and future. For more than 30 years, he has always grasped the unique artistic characteristics of Jun porcelain kiln transformation, insisted on applying modern technology to Jun porcelain production technology, carried out technological innovation, and improved Jun porcelain technology level.

Shen's furnace jun porcelain craft originated from Lu Tianen, the second generation artist of Shen Lujia. This is a high-temperature jun porcelain firing process different from Jingdezhen kiln jun porcelain process. As the saying goes, "Ten kilns and Nine Decays", the process is very difficult. At that time, the technical formula inherited by Mr. Jin Lao from the older generation of Jun porcelain artists was relatively simple. After years of repeated experiments by the old gentleman, the formula proportion of the furnace gentleman tends to be stable. When this technology was transferred to Jin Xiaotong, he was not satisfied with the existing technical achievements. He combined modern production conditions and technical means, firmly grasped the unique artistic characteristics of Jun porcelain kiln transformation, and developed into a brand-new Jun flower glaze process for kiln transformation furnace, adding a new branch to the development of Jun porcelain art.

The Soul of Fire Art

There is a painting by Mo Bao in the exhibition hall of Jinjiajun Kiln, which was presented by a friend who loves Jun porcelain when Mr. Jin Xiaotong successfully burned firewood. When Mr. Jin Xiaotong told everyone that most of these Jun porcelain works with strong traditional charm were his original works mainly burning firewood, people in the industry could not help but marvel. He said: "In recent years, Jin Jia Jun kiln has been the main research direction of wood-fired Jun porcelain, and the artistic effect of wood-fired Jun porcelain kiln transformation is the most fascinating." His father, Mr. Jin Lao, once said: "The most unpredictable kiln change for firing Jun porcelain is a key process. The beauty of Jun porcelain lies in this unpredictable kiln change, which is the artistic realm of Jun porcelain kiln change, giving people endless artistic enjoyment. This cause can be said to be a dream of soil and flame. " Jun porcelain has been said since ancient times as "ten kilns and nine declines" and "born in molding and died in firing". Although the expected kiln change is unknown and ugly, it is like facing the upcoming life, which makes people excited and anxious. In order to realize this dream, Jin Xiaotong fixed his eyes firmly on the firewood-burning process of Jun porcelain that has been lost for more than 700 years, always grasped the unique artistic characteristics of Jun porcelain kiln transformation art, grasped the artistic context of firewood-burning Jun porcelain, and pushed Jun porcelain to the peak of modern Jun porcelain art again and again.

Inheritance and innovation

As an influential Jun porcelain artist in the hometown of Jun porcelain, Jin Xiaotong has inherited and absorbed the essence of traditional Jun porcelain culture and art in more than 30 years of study and exploration practice, and constantly carried out artistic innovation and development.

Talking about the cultural tradition and future development direction of Jun porcelain, Mr. Jin Xiaotong said: the traditional culture of Jun porcelain is the root and foundation of Jun porcelain culture, and the development of Jun porcelain must cherish and respect this foundation. Only by constantly improving product quality, beautifying people's lives and enriching the cultural connotation of Jun porcelain can Jun porcelain, a Millennium art, glow with new brilliance. For a long time, Mr. Jin Xiaotong insisted on making his own works by manual blank making process, firing his own works by Jun porcelain wood burning process, and creating his own works by adopting new artistic concepts. Taking the appreciation of Jun porcelain kiln transformation art as the focus of interaction with Jun porcelain lovers, and firmly grasping the fundamental principle that "kiln transformation art is the soul of Jun porcelain art" on the basis of creative ideas and techniques, it is even more commendable to inject new vitality into Jun porcelain. The magical art of Jun porcelain kiln transformation has made Jun porcelain play an important role in contemporary ceramic art, and the accumulation of decades of study and research by the second generation of Jin artists will make this artistic treasure with a thousand years of history shine forever.

As the technical inheritor of Jinjiajun Kiln, Jin Xiaotong has been studying Jun porcelain small furnace firing technology with his father since he was 14 years old. From 1980 to Yuxian Jun Porcelain Art Factory, I learned from Mr. Wen to fire Jun Porcelain. 65438-0984 Participated in the training course of ceramic modeling design in Henan Province organized by Henan Arts and Crafts Association. Since then, Mr. Xu Guozhen, the benefactor, strongly recommended him to work as a designer in the laboratory of Yuxian Jun Porcelain Factory No.2, and to engage in the carving and design of Jun Porcelain modeling with famous teachers such as Xing, Wen and Wen Guoli. /kloc-in the winter of 0/989, Liu Shanyao's art research room was founded with his father Jin, and he served as a stylist, production technician and craftsman. From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Jin Xiaotong's works were exhibited in museums in Hongkong, Osaka and new york. Starting from 200 1, Mr. Jin Xiaotong independently operated Jinjiajun kiln, became the general manager, and embarked on the road of Jun porcelain creation, research and development, and process research. After years of study and exploration, he gradually matured from groping to development. Although difficulties, setbacks and even hardships come one after another, he has come all the way with the persistent spirit of never giving up. It is this persistent spirit that makes Jin Xiaotong lay a solid practical and theoretical foundation and grow into a Jun porcelain artist with superb skills and all-round development.

As a local descendant of Jun porcelain, he combined traditional crafts with modern science and technology, which made the ancient Jun porcelain culture glow with new brilliance. Mr. Jin Xiaotong's Jun porcelain works are the perfect combination of kiln glaze and ceramic modeling, which is famous for its gorgeous glaze color and elegant modeling. Jin Xiaotong's works are rich in glaze color. Under the special effect of high temperature and reducing atmosphere, the rich glaze with certain fluidity melts and flows on the surface of ceramic ware, and the kiln changes various lines. This grain and the glaze color of Jun glaze produce all kinds of wonderful colors in the restored atmosphere, which complement each other, and the magical picture formed is like an uncanny workmanship, which is amazing and amazing.
