The Lions Club may be called the Lions Club (as it is called in Hong Kong and Macao), and the English name is Leo Club.

The first Lions Club was founded on 1957 by the Lions Club of Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA. Today, there are about 5,500 Lions Clubs in the world, covering 136 countries, with as many as138,000 members. The original English name of Leo Lion is L ﹝ Leadership ﹞ E ﹝ Experience ﹞ O ﹝ Opportunity ﹞, which means giving full play to leadership, absorbing experience through social services and striving for opportunities to reach international understanding.
