Critical thinking series "critical thinking" I
I have been reading Critical Thinking recently. I think this book contains a lot of knowledge, some of which are difficult to understand. So after reading more than half of it, I decided to read another book and extract the key points chapter by chapter. This is the beginning of this series.

Putting this sentence in the first place also shows that this sentence can really explain what "critical thinking" is. However, in the face of this sentence, I have to play a critical thinking. "We can produce better thinking products by reflecting on our arguments and constantly improving them." I think the premise of this sentence is that it is very important to have enough knowledge, depth of knowledge and breadth of knowledge. Otherwise, even if we continue to demonstrate, our level in all aspects is not enough, and the result of the demonstration is not necessarily a' good thinking product', but a defect. So in my opinion, read more books first, and when your knowledge level reaches a certain level, critical thinking may be able to play a real role. This is the so-called "sharpening the knife and cutting the wood by mistake".

Terminology section:

1. Objective assertion &; Subjective assertion

The following is an excerpt from some original texts. I don't know if I can help you understand better after explaining it with my own ideas:

Seeing this, I seem to have another explanation myself, and I thought of it temporarily. Whether a statement is an objective assertion or a subjective assertion depends on whether there is a unique standard to judge.

2. Topics: Topics are divided into subjective topics and objective topics (in this book, topics refer to problems).

The difference is still what it says above. Is the standard uniform?

(Actually, I was not very clear about this argument when I wrote my thesis before, so sometimes what I wrote was very vague. Through this, I can have a good understanding of what elements are needed for argument, so I will take a closer look at some of my structural parts in future papers. )

In the next paragraph, I want to remind you separately that although they are all extracted directly from the book, I have to say that this part shows the essence of "critical thinking".

3. Cognitive bias

In fact, the content of this chapter will be difficult to understand at first glance, and then tell us some inertial thinking. Through the content of this chapter, I feel that I can actually understand some thinking patterns, and then I will have a defensive mentality, so that I can further think about what others say is right or wrong.

The preliminary plan of this series is to extract from the original text first. I think it is necessary for people who are unfamiliar with or even don't know what critical thinking is, to get to know it through the original text first, and then write a self-perception after copying the book.
