First, the basic situation of students

2. Students' interest and motivation in learning basketball. These basketball textbooks compiled by basketball teachers in our school can guarantee the teaching quality of basketball courses in colleges and universities to a certain extent in combination with the reality of our school.
2. Number of students in the class
According to the survey of 20 colleges and universities, the maximum number of students in basketball general course is 36, and the number of students in basketball class is also an important factor affecting the teaching quality and teaching effect, especially basketball practice class. Too many students will directly affect the amount and intensity of teachers' explanation and demonstration, management guidance and students' practice. With the popularization and expansion of higher education, the number of basketball teachers can not fully meet the needs of class; With the increase of students, teaching is limited by limited basketball field and equipment. In order to deepen the teaching reform, ensure the teaching quality and overcome the unfavorable factors caused by the large number of students, it is suggested that the education management department and school leaders increase the investment in venues and equipment, adopt modern teaching means and methods, increase the number of teachers in class and ensure the smooth completion of teaching tasks.
3. The organizational form of basketball class
Teaching organization forms are various organizational forms adopted by teachers to realize class tasks according to teaching contents, students' characteristics and homework conditions. It mainly includes teaching routine, group teaching and teacher action plan. The organization of basketball class is an important guarantee to complete the teaching task. Whether the classroom organization is strict and reasonable directly affects the teaching effect. According to the survey, the general basketball course in colleges and universities is basically divided into men and women according to the class size. At present, the class-based physical education teaching organization in colleges and universities is uniform and orderly, but it is not easy to educate and cultivate students' personality differences and hobbies. 4. The professional ability of coaches needs to be improved.
The quality of sports team training is closely related to the quality and level of coaches. Therefore, their real ability and work efficiency directly affect the success or failure of training. Some coaches usually don't pay attention to theoretical study, nor do they have academic exchanges and discussions with their peers. They lack relevant business training and lectures, and the training does not vary from person to person and is not carried out according to the characteristics of college students. The single training method improves the training quality of college students' basketball team and affects its performance and development.
