Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction:

Half a catty of Bupleurum, three ounces of cassia twig, two ounces of dried ginger, three ounces of scutellaria baicalensis, four ounces of Fructus Trichosanthis, two ounces of oysters and two ounces of licorice. For the seven flavors, take two liters of water in a bucket, boil six liters, fry for me, and take one liter warm three times a day: it's a little annoying at first, but it will get better after taking it again.

Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is based on Bupleurum DC. As long as there is heat, it rises from the stomach. There are two kinds, gypsum, coptis root and scutellaria root, all of which are heat-clearing. When should I use the plaster? When to use Qin Lian, Bentham is bitter and gypsum is sweet.

Gypsum is heat-removed, and Qin Lian is also heat-removed. However, gypsum is different from bentham. Qin Lian is gastric, and plaster is gastric. What we are talking about here is the stomach family, not the intestine family. If you are thirsty, you always want to drink water. This is plaster. The patient is thirsty, but there is no such thing as thirst. We will choose Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.

When we used plaster, we saw that patients only had heat syndrome, but not cold syndrome. So as long as there is cold and heat here, the plaster is not correct. Plaster must be used for pure heat syndrome.

Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi was used in this Bupleurum cassia twig dried ginger because the patient's stomach heat was insufficient, because there was nothing in his stomach, and the heat went up. When we are very thirsty, we will use the roots of Trichosanthes kirilowii.

Trichosanthes kirilowii can only be used after the spasm of the golden chamber is eradicated. When many patients are thirsty, we will use Trichosanthes root. There are two words on the market now: Trichosanthes kirilowii root and Trichosanthes kirilowii. These two terms are the same thing in the market. If you really pursue these two things, there is actually a little difference. Now we are not so picky about them. That makes no difference. If the patient is thirsty, the root of Trichosanthes kirilowii will be aggravated. The thirst treated by Trichosanthes kirilowii is that there is not enough water in the blood vessels.

Diabetic patients are short of blood vessels, so their blood sugar is very high when they are examined by western medicine. Our bodies are very smart and will save themselves. So we are always thirsty, and we always drink water when we are thirsty, and then urinate after drinking water, because the water we drink can't enter the blood vessels, and it must be the food we want to eat that will bring water into the blood vessels.

Both the heart and lungs belong to the upper energizer, and the chest is the meeting place for all yang, because blood is exchanged in the upper energizer, and the air in the lungs is like clouds and fog in the sky. The source of lung qi is the gasification of large intestine. This water vapor is very good water, and this water can enter blood vessels. The roots of Trichosanthes kirilowii mainly supplement the water in the lungs.

The roots of Trichosanthes kirilowii are different from gypsum. The root of Trichosanthes kirilowii is lung heat, and gypsum is stomach heat. When spasm occurs, Zhang Zhongjing uses Trichosanthes instead of plaster.

This recipe uses oysters, which are specially used for floating yang. So, how do we know that the patient is floating yang? Because the patient is sweating, when the yang in the stomach rises, we have to lower the yang. Dried ginger is only warm, oysters are used, and floating yang is lowered at the same time. In order to suppress yang, oysters are used.

If yang runs to all limbs, we can all use oysters If yang is outside, heart yang will also appear, and kidney yang will also appear. At this time, we will add keel. Therefore, Guizhi will go to Paeonia lactiflora and add Shuqi Longgu Oyster Decoction to save the rebellion. Only oysters are used here, because only the floating sun will come out, but the head will sweat.

Licorice is useful and baked. Roasted licorice has more body fluid and is slightly hot. When we use dried ginger, most of them will use roasted licorice.

After licorice is baked with honey, it is not only good for the stomach, but also strong for the heart. When roasted licorice is reused, it can strengthen the heart. Here we know that the body fluid in the patient's stomach is gone, so using dried ginger and licorice soup is equivalent to saving the stomach and warming the stomach.

This soup is boiled with ten cups of water, which can make six glasses of water. After removing me, boil it into three glasses of water, which is equivalent to concentrating it once and taking a cup warm, three times a day. Sweating after taking it will help you get better.

At this time, someone will ask about the sweat from taking this Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang decoction. The patient doesn't have enough body fluids, so why is he sweating? Because one's sweat is in the blood, which is what we call wet in the blood (see section 164 for details).

When the patient takes Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction, the patient will sweat, and the sweat is sticky. The patient has been sweating, and he was attacked. Insufficient body fluid. Why does he still sweat after eating Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction? It is because the body fluid in the vein comes out that most people don't get this disease, and only tuberculosis patients get this disease. It is those people who are plain and weak. Ordinary people are very thin and will not get fat if they eat anything.

If there is no tuberculosis, even if typhoid fever and sweating recur, there will be no dysuria, and only tuberculosis patients will have these symptoms. Therefore, Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction is the first prescription for Zhang Zhongjing to treat complications.

Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction is used to treat tuberculosis, pulmonary flaccidity, lung carbuncle, hemorrhoids and leakage.

When we want to use Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction, it is ineffective for you to prescribe Guizhi Decoction, Gegen Decoction and Mahuang Decoction to patients. Even if we use Shiquan Dabu decoction or sink into the sea, this tells you whether to prescribe Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang decoction, because the patient has pulmonary tuberculosis syndrome and his condition is very special.

In this classic recipe, we will drive to Atractylodes macrocephala. Atractylodes macrocephala can be used between viscera, stomach and blood, but not Atractylodes macrocephala. So it is useless to use Atractylodes macrocephala here.
