1. Principle: UV-irradiated coating is dried by molecular polymerization. Molecules are polymerized and dried.

2. Troubleshooting methods in the process of glazing

1) Small particles of impurities appear on the surface of polished printed matter. Cause: Impurities are mixed in the polishing paint. Solution: the glazing paint should be filtered before use. Paint buckets and cots in glazing machine should also be cleaned before glazing to avoid dust mixing. 2) Reasons for poor gloss of glazing film: a. Low temperature when coating is dried and calendered; B. The coating quality is poor and the gloss of the film itself is low; C. The coating concentration is small, the coating amount is insufficient, and the coating is too thin. Solution: A. Adjust the drying temperature of glazing coating to improve the calendering temperature; B. Replace the coating, or increase the coating concentration and coating quantity; A secondary coating can be used. 3) The causes of streaking or wrinkling on the surface of the film are: a. High viscosity of glazing paint; B. the coating amount of glazing paint is too large; C. The glazing paint has poor wettability to the ink layer on the surface of printed matter; The pressure between glazing machine cots and impression cylinder is uneven. Solution: A. Add a small amount of thinner to reduce the viscosity of the coating; B, reducing the coating amount of glazing paint; Adjust the pressure between glazing machine cots and impression cylinder to eliminate stripes. 4) After calendering, the surface of printed matter is easy to crack (thick paper is more obvious). Reasons: a. The high temperature during calendering reduces the water content of printed matter and makes paper fibers brittle; B. The high pressure in calendering makes the ductility and flexibility of printed matter worse; C. improper selection of post-treatment process conditions; D. poor processability after glazing and painting. Solution: A. Reduce the calendering drying temperature and take effective measures to change the water content of printed matter; B, reducing the calendering pressure; C. Adjust post-processing conditions to match the applicability of printed matter (after calendering). 5) After calendering, the blank part of the printed matter becomes lighter, and the lighter part changes color. Reasons: a. Poor drying of ink and poor solvent resistance of ink layer; B. The coating solvent has a certain dissolving effect on the ink layer; C. the coating is not completely dried and the solvent residue is high. Solution: a. Dry the printed matter and then polish it; B. Reduce the amount of solvent (solvent that can dissolve ink) in glazing paint, and replace the solvent or paint if possible; C, increasing the drying temperature and reducing the residual solvent in the coating.
