Based on the practice of network-assisted teaching in computer course teaching, this paper introduces the functions and characteristics of network-assisted teaching system for computer course, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of this system, so as to provide better service for computer teaching in the future.
With the development of computer network and the wide application of Internet, using Internet to assist teaching is becoming a hot direction of teaching research. As an extension and supplement of classroom teaching, network-assisted teaching can break through the limitation of traditional education in time and space, make full use of modern teaching methods and various teaching resources, and provide a series of teaching processes such as learning, answering questions, discussing and homework processing with network-assisted teaching system as a supporting tool, thus providing a good teaching and learning environment for teachers and students.
First, the main functions of the system
The main functions of the computer course network-aided teaching system are:
(A) online learning function
Teachers carefully study and discuss the teaching content, divide the teaching content into different levels according to the actual situation of students, organize it in different ways, make electronic handouts and multimedia courseware conveniently by using the network teaching system, store them in the teaching server for students to use, and manage them safely and effectively. Because the teaching content is divided into different levels according to the degree of difficulty, students can study selectively according to their own situation, which is convenient for hierarchical teaching. At the same time, because students are not limited by time and space and content, it provides a good environment for students to learn independently.
(2) Online operation function
Teachers can assign homework online, receive homework submitted by students and correct it online. Students can check the homework related to their own courses online, download or submit it online, and check the correction of homework.
(3) Online examination function
Provide teachers with online questions, marking papers, performance management and other functions (teachers must have the corresponding rights to enter, modify and delete, etc.). ) and item bank management (add, delete, modify topics, etc. ). Students can take the test or self-test online at any time, check the test results, test their knowledge, and provide the basis for further study.
(d) Real-time communication function
After class, teachers and students can communicate in real time or non-real time conveniently through the network. Teachers can provide learning guidance for different types of students, and students can also feedback their own requirements to teachers in time, thus realizing the functions of course discussion and answering questions. Teachers and students can discuss some problems, which is beneficial to students' cooperative learning.
Second, the characteristics of the system
(1) This system adopts three-tier architecture [1]
Client browser /WEB server/database server mode. In this mode, the client is only responsible for providing the user interface. When data access or complex calculation is needed, the client sends a request to the application server, and the application server responds to the client's request to complete the corresponding data processing or send an SQL command to the database server, and the database server completes the corresponding data operation, and finally the application server returns the result to the client. The advantage of this structure is that the client only needs to install browser software, and does not need to install other client interface software, which means that any machine with browser software can access the system as a client.
(2) The functional design of the system is comprehensive.
The system has a comprehensive functional design, which basically realizes a series of functions in the daily teaching process. According to different user groups, the system is divided into three subsystems: students, teachers and system administrators. Using modular design method, the student user subsystem is divided into six functional modules: autonomous learning, online homework, resource sharing, online examination, discussion and answering, and qualification certification. The teacher-user subsystem is divided into six functional modules: courseware management, homework management, resource management, item bank management, grade management and teacher-student communication. The system administrator user subsystem is divided into four functional modules: user management, password management, resource management and course management.
(3) The system has initially realized the personalized learning function.
At present, the network-aided teaching system has been widely used in colleges and universities, but personalized learning is rare. In most systems, students can only passively accept what the courseware teaches and have no choice. In this system, all knowledge is classified into knowledge points, and the difficulty coefficient is assigned to each knowledge point according to the difficulty. The difficulty coefficient of the same knowledge point can be different according to the different requirements for students, which is embodied in the degree of mastery, knowledge organization, teaching methods, exercises and so on. Before students formally study, the system provides students with a test environment [2], which requires students to apply what they have learned through analysis, synthesis, practice and testing, so as to test their mastery of what they have learned, and guide learners to further study according to feedback information, thus realizing personalized teaching functions.
(d) Simple operation interface
The operation of the system is simple, and the main operation interface is the login interface. Users can only perform the next operation after logging in the interface, otherwise they can only view public information. This page has verification function. When a user registers, the system will verify the identity of the user by accessing the database. If you are a school teacher or student, you can register as a legal user. Otherwise, it has no right to register, and each teacher or student can only register once. After logging in, the system will turn to different operation interfaces according to different user identities:
1. Student interface
Through this interface, students can register and log in, retrieve relevant learning materials, download or run teaching courseware, communicate with teachers or classmates, ask questions or express their opinions, answer questions or submit homework and test papers.
2. Teacher interface
This interface is only for teachers. Through this interface, teachers can modify test questions, change teaching courseware, increase or decrease teaching content, accept and answer students' questions, track students' learning situation and manage test scores.
3. Administrator interface
This interface is dedicated to administrators, who have the highest authority in the system. Through this interface, administrators can manage users, passwords, resources and courses.
Third, the defects of this system.
(1) Due to the short running time of the system, there are still some imperfections in the whole system, and the practical links in the teaching process are not considered enough, which needs further study.
(2) Due to various conditions, this system has not provided support for real-time teaching, so it cannot realize real-time teaching.
(3) The system is highly dependent on teaching courseware, so more efforts should be made in the development of teaching courseware in the future.
(4) The security design of this system is not good enough, which needs further study.
The network-aided teaching system can give full play to the advantages of the Internet, embody the teaching concept of taking students as the main body and teachers as the leading factor, provide a good environment for students to study independently and cooperatively, and fully mobilize their learning enthusiasm. In the future, we will further study the network-assisted teaching system to better serve the teaching.
