Quanzhou History Essay (about 2000 words)
In the first year of Tang Sisheng (A.D. 684), the state was founded, named Wurongzhou. In the second year of Jing Yun (AD 7 1 1), Wu Rongfu was changed to Quanzhou, hence the name Quanshan in the north of Quanzhou. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Quanzhou was the "largest port in the East" and was extremely prosperous. In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (1277), Xuanwei Department was established in Quanzhou, and it was also transferred to South Marshal House. In 15, Xuanwei Division was changed to Quanzhou Road Official Office, which was under the jurisdiction of Nan 'an, Jinjiang, Yongchun, Tongan, Dehua, Anxi, Hui 'an, and North and South Divisions. In May of the seventeenth year, Fujian Province was merged into Quanzhou Province, and in July of the same year, it moved to Longxing, Quanzhou. In the early Ming Dynasty, the Ming government changed Quanzhou Road to Quanzhou Prefecture. During the civil war, many people fled to Hong Kong and Nanyang, so that there are many Quanzhou immigrants among overseas Chinese today. In the early days of liberation, the country's main investment was in the mainland, so the economic development was slow. Since the reform and opening up from 65438 to 0977, Quanzhou has been designated as an open coastal city and entered a period of rapid development. Now, Quanzhou has developed into a garden city which enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad.
