1897 was founded in Jingfu Academy, then merged with Qiushi Academy to form Anhui University Hall, and later changed to Anhui Ordnance Academy, Anhui Army Academy and Anhui Law and Politics College. 1928, the provincial Anhui university was established here; 1946 changed to National Anhui University; 1949 was changed to the third branch of the PLA naval joint school. From 1958, it was gradually changed to Anhui Normal University, Anqing Teaching Point of Anhui Normal University and Anqing Branch of Anhui Normal University. 1980 Anqing normal college was established on the basis of Anqing branch of Anhui normal university; 20 16 was renamed Anqing Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
