The Relationship between Traditional Marketing and Network Marketing
1: The concept of network marketing refers to the marketing activities conducted through the Internet. Compared with traditional marketing, online marketing has some obvious advantages: nevertheless, traditional marketing methods cannot be completely replaced. The relationship between them is complementary. In order to occupy a place in the increasingly competitive market, we must learn to use these two means to implement effective marketing programs. 2. The concept of traditional marketing Network marketing is not a substitute for traditional marketing, but a supplement to traditional marketing. In the past, marketers mainly achieved their marketing goals through advertisements, promotional activities and public relations activities. Nowadays, with the development of the Internet and the emergence of new media, the traditional marketing methods can no longer fully meet people's needs. People just stop buying things because they see advertisements, but decide whether to buy them according to their actual situation. In addition, with the development of the Internet, people can learn about a product or service through comments, blogs, Weibo, WeChat and QQ groups, and then make judgments based on this information. Therefore, no tradition can cope with so many changing markets. Therefore, the traditional marketing methods have gradually failed, and network marketing came into being. 3. Similarities and differences between online marketing and traditional marketing The development of marketing methods can be divided into two stages: traditional marketing and online marketing. Traditional marketing refers to the marketing methods before 1990s, which are mainly publicized through traditional media such as radio, newspapers, magazines, television and outdoor advertisements. With the rise of the Internet, people are gradually accustomed to shopping, entertainment and communication online, and the Internet has become a part of people's lives. Therefore, the traditional marketing method is gradually declining, and network marketing has gradually become the focus of attention. Relatively speaking, the traditional marketing method requires enterprises to have a certain understanding of the target customers, but it is often "one size fits all" when promoting, and can only be promoted to the target customers in large quantities, but can not accurately find the people who are really interested. Therefore, many enterprises are disappointed with this method and choose "other" methods to replace this time-consuming, laborious and inefficient way. On the contrary, network marketing is a kind of "target marketing".
