Throughout the ages, a country, a nation, a unit and an individual all need a spirit as a source of strength for their survival and development. Throughout the 5,000-year history of Chinese civilization, the great national spirit with patriotism as the core and the great spirit of the times with reform and innovation as the core have been formed. Among them, Yan 'an spirit is the same as Mencius's "wealth can't be lewd, poverty can't be moved, and powerful people can't bend", Fan Zhongyan's "worry about the world first, and enjoy the world later", as well as the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, Jinggangshan spirit, Long March spirit, flood fighting spirit, earthquake resistance spirit and Olympic spirit.
Today, I feel very kind to relive the spirit of Yan 'an. I seem to have seen the world-famous Baota shan, and I seem to have returned to the war-torn years. I know that it is countless revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their heads and blood and gave their precious lives to win today's peace. Although history has become a thing of the past, Baota shan is still like an old man who has gone through many vicissitudes, constantly awakening the conscience of the Chinese people and telling the story of that hard past. Yan 'an spirit still inspires our successors from generation to generation.
I am a middle school student in the new era, and I have lofty ideals and ambitions. As the monitor of Class 8 (4), I am well aware of the heavy responsibility on my shoulders. I will practice Yan 'an spirit with my own practical actions, carry forward the fighting spirit of Yan 'an soldiers and civilians, influence my classmates around me, lead them to work hard, make progress, study hard, and be an ideal and ambitious young man.
