Xi University of Finance and Economics is a multi-disciplinary general institution of higher learning funded by the central and local governments, in charge of Shaanxi Province, with economy and management as the main subjects, and economy, management, literature, law, science and engineering support each other and develop in a coordinated way.

The school is located in Xi 'an, the ancient capital, adjacent to the famous Wild Goose Pagoda in the prosperous Tang Dynasty and the majestic and elegant Shaanxi History Museum, with superior geographical location, elegant environment and rich historical accumulation. The college covers an area of 1579 mu, with a building area of 524,500 square meters, a collection of books 15 1000 volumes, Chinese and foreign periodicals 1634 kinds, and the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 66.29 million yuan.

The school has seven secondary colleges of economics, management, accounting, statistics, information, grammar, politics and administration, and three teaching departments of postgraduate, foreign language and physical education. It has the right to award master's degrees in five disciplines: statistics, business management, finance, industrial economics and economic law. At present, there are 24 undergraduate majors in economics, finance and statistics, involving 14 first-class disciplines. There are four provincial and ministerial key disciplines such as statistics, management science and engineering, finance and economic law, and three provincial famous majors such as statistics, finance and law. The structure of teachers in this school is reasonable. At present, there are 860 full-time teachers, including 329 teachers with the title of associate professor or above, and nearly 100 foreign experts and famous domestic statisticians, economists and humanities scholars are employed as part-time professors in the school. It has five provincial and ministerial scientific research bases, such as the Institute of Statistics, Shaanxi Statistical Research Center, Shaanxi Modern Enterprise Management Research Center, Shaanxi National Defense Science and Technology and Economic Development Research Center, Shaanxi United Front Theory and Practice Research Center, and three school-level scientific research bases, such as the Western Rural Public Economy Research Center, the Resources, Environment and Industry Development Research Center, and the Cultural Resources and Industry Research Center. There are 22 laboratories (training centers) and 102 practice teaching bases inside and outside the school, such as financial securities investment training center, fiscal and taxation information management training center, enterprise planning and design training center, ERP training center and university physics laboratory funded by the central government and Shaanxi Province.

The school attaches great importance to scientific research, the level of scientific research has been significantly improved, and fruitful scientific research results have been achieved. From 2002 to 2006, our school published 6885 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, including 1625 core journals, 50 authoritative journals and 50 EI, SCI and ISTP. Published monographs and teaching materials 133, and undertook to complete national scientific research projects 17, including national major projects 1 and provincial-level scientific research projects 2 1 1, and 33 achievements won provincial-level scientific research achievement awards. The school insists on opening up its schools and extensively carries out international exchanges and cooperation. It has established exchanges and cooperation with 35 universities and research institutions in Belgium, Britain, the United States, Russia, Canada, France, Germany, Australia and other countries and regions. We have established cooperative relations with foreign universities such as Antwerp University, university of bradford, glamorgan University, Cook University and Thomas University. Completed the development cooperation project sponsored by the Belgian Flemish government, the United Nations P-44 project, the impact of EU investment in China on the reform of state-owned enterprises in China and other international cooperation research projects.
