Topic: Diagnosis and treatment of fungal dermatosis in dogs

Abstract: Dermatomycosis, or superficial mycosis, refers to the fungal infection of skin and its accessory structures (hair, horns and claws). It is one of the common infectious diseases in dogs. The main clinical symptoms are flat and rough skin surface, dryness, scabbing, erythema and papules. In this paper, Dr. Samoyed and his dog, who were two years old during their internship in an animal hospital, were taken as examples. After microscopic examination and Wood's lamp test, they were diagnosed as fungal skin diseases. Antifungal treatment, anti-inflammatory acupuncture combined with (hydrochloric acid+dexamethasone) treatment and topical fungal treatment were adopted, and good therapeutic effects were achieved.
