After graduating from Dr. Peking University, the author entered the Institute of Religion of China Academy of Social Sciences for postdoctoral research, further studied the historical origin of Taoist Inner alchemy, and wrote a monograph on Taoist Inner alchemy. The postdoctoral research report "Tracing the Origin of Taoist Inner Dan" is a research result that matches the doctoral thesis "Tracing the Origin of Taoist Inner Dan" which discusses the theory of Inner Dan. The postdoctoral research report traces the historical origin of Inner Dan, thus forming my own systematic research results on Inner Dan. Taoist inner alchemy is the core of Taoist theory and practice after the late Tang Dynasty. It has gone through a long historical process from gestation to maturity. Studying the historical origin of Inner alchemy is helpful for us to understand the historical significance and true face of Inner alchemy, which is more important for the study of Taoist history. At present, there are many different views on the origin and development of Inner alchemy in academic circles, most of which are superficial and have not been systematically studied. Therefore, there is no ready-made history to describe the historical origin and development of Inner alchemy, but many problems are still being explored. The book "The Origin of Taoist Inner alchemy" focuses on four themes: Inner alchemy and cultivation, Inner alchemy and alchemy, Inner alchemy and Buddhism, and makes a thorough and detailed study of the origin of Inner alchemy. On the basis of systematic reading of Taoist literature and extensive reference to academic research results, this book deeply studies the historical origin and internal theoretical relationship between Inner alchemy theory and Taoist monasticism, Inner alchemy and various cultivation methods, Inner alchemy and Foreign alchemy, Inner alchemy and Buddhism. This paper not only carries out micro-historical textual research, but also makes macro-theoretical thinking, thus solving many major problems in the historical origin of Inner alchemy, and makes textual research on some one-sided statements in academic circles and puts forward some suggestions. The Origin of Taoist Inner alchemy was published by Religious Culture Press in June 2004.

In 2005, the key research project "Yue Yutang's Quotations and China School of Inner alchemy" which I presided over was successfully completed and passed the final acceptance. The results will be published after reorganization and revision.
