The scope of spot check is the master's degree theses awarded by various degree-granting units in xx academic year, mainly full-time graduate students, part-time graduate students, and graduate degree theses with equivalent academic qualifications. Deferred dissertations are included in the scope of sampling inspection in the next year. The sampling ratio is 5% of the total number of master's degrees awarded. The doctoral thesis is randomly selected by the national unified organization and is not within the scope of this spot check.

The scope of graduation thesis spot check mainly focuses on:

1. In the sampling inspection of provincial master's dissertations, the exchange evaluation results include dissertations with "poor" grades and dissertations directed by tutors;

2. Dissertations of graduate students who take separate examinations and on-the-job personnel who apply for degrees with the same academic qualifications organized by the school;

3. Subjects determined according to the degree granting situation in xx years;

4 other circumstances that should be focused on spot checks.

Sampling step

1. Each degree-granting unit will report the list of master's degree-granting personnel for xx academic year to the Provincial Department of Education.

2. The Provincial Department of Education shall determine the list of dissertations randomly sampled according to the combination of key sampling and random sampling.

3. Each unit will report the dissertations and related materials included in the sampling list determined by the Provincial Department of Education to the Provincial Department of Education according to the "double-blind" review requirements.

4. The Provincial Department of Education entrusted the Academic Degree and Postgraduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education to organize a "double-blind" exchange review of papers.
