What is meditation? What are sleep and photos?
A: Let me start with what meditation is. In fact, the word "meditation" ultimately means that you are integrated with the inner center, you are fully integrated with the soul center, or you are fully integrated with your consciousness center and source. This can be achieved through meditation or offering love, the most important of which are these two ways. One is through love, the other is through awareness and wisdom. The way of meditation tends to be the way of wisdom, or more vividly, the first sentence of the Heart Sutra says: "Guanyin Bodhisattva has been walking like paramita for a long time, and all five aggregates are empty." The key words of this sentence are "photo" and "photo" in the mirror, just looking. He did nothing but look. He just looked at this "moral", which means eyes, ears, nose, tongue and body, as well as your eyes, ears, nose, tongue and body. These five aspects refer to the subject. Then there are the aspects of objects: what the eyes see, what the ears hear, what the nose smells, what the tongue tastes, what the body feels, and then the fragments and pictures that automatically appear in your mind, that is, all kinds of ideas that you spontaneously generate. These six objects all include five subjects, all on the premise that you "take pictures", that is, you are quietly observing these six aspects. 153. Q: What's the difference between it and "visualizing"? A: "Visualization" actually adds an "idea", that is, in addition to "taking pictures", you also add an action. Tantric schools often have some methods of visualization. They deliberately visualize the image of a living bodhisattva in your mind, and deliberately create and imagine such an image, but in the end, the image you imagined must be removed, leaving only "View" 154. Q: How do you "take pictures"? How to "look"? A: Can you sit in front of the computer and observe your body now? Of course, this watch doesn't mean that you can see your face when you turn around, but you realize that consciousness is the so-called "photo". You use your consciousness to realize that you are sitting here now. Not sitting there thinking nothing. Even if you think nothing, it won't help you. A tree or a stone sitting there thinking nothing, but this is not meditation. Meditation refers to the state of "watching" after you think nothing. When you look on, you will find that you can see more and more things. Not only can you see your body sitting here, but you can also see that some aspects of your body begin to have some heat, and your abdomen has some heat, so you can clearly realize the beating of your heart. Some aspects that you didn't notice before are now obvious. Not only can you feel your heartbeat, but you can even feel that you are just looking at yourself sitting here, and then magically feel something in your mind. These are all phenomena that you just watch as a bystander without any behavior or action at all. These phenomena are the initial phenomena, the most superficial phenomena, and only physical phenomena. When you gradually become more stable and in-depth, detached and detached, you will find that you can see more subtle things, that is, you begin to see the flow of ideas, some of your thoughts drift in your mind, some of your memories drift in your mind, and gradually, you begin to feel that some feelings are more delicate than thoughts and begin to be seen by you. That feeling may be a feeling of happiness, and sometimes it may be a sudden and inexplicable sadness. There is no reason for this feeling. You inexplicably feel some kind of sadness and melancholy floating through your mind, and you still maintain a sense of detachment. You didn't reach out to touch it at all, you just let it exist and let it die. If you can do this and look at it completely detached, you will gradually find that some mysterious experiences begin to emerge, and the second order of that mysterious experience always emerges after you can feel the emotions in your head. It is difficult for you to have a real inner experience without prior awareness of your emotions and your emotions, and the starting point of that inner experience must be after you have prior awareness of your emotions. On a certain day or a certain night, when you just quietly watch all kinds of thoughts flow by yourself, and watch all kinds of contradictory and confused emotions drift by one by one, suddenly, when you have no intention at all, you may feel out of your body, or it is not appropriate to say so. You suddenly see yourself sitting there completely, looking at it in a separate way, in other words. Because you have reached the absolute center, your awareness center, your vision center, and your etheric body are floating one after another, and your body automatically achieves some coordination. When your etheric body achieves real harmony, it may be outside your body without your help. Or let's put it this way, of course, drifting away from your body is only temporary, so you emphasize that you suddenly saw it completely. Why do people who often have meditation experience have a magical experience when they sit up and look at it separately? In other words, when you meditate and sit comfortably, you are comfortable to some extent. Because you feel the existence of the flesh inside, you suddenly feel that you are floating. I wonder if anyone here has such an experience? Maybe many people have reached the absolute end. Has anyone had a similar experience? For no reason, you will feel that your body is lighter and floating, and then you suddenly go into shock. When you open your eyes, you are still in your body. In this case, when your etheric body is at its most harmonious, it can automatically drift away from your physical body. Your etheric body can only float out of the body when it is full of energy. The etheric body cannot leave the body without complete energy, without the rising energy of the spine. Only when the energy of your spine is absolutely saturated and rises upwards will it automatically carry the etheric body upwards, and perhaps there will be an experience floating out from the top of your head immediately. This kind of experience is called out-of-body experience by many people, but it may actually happen by accident when you meditate. This kind of out-of-body experience is actually the shallowest, it is very shallow, as long as your body reaches a certain degree of coordination, it will happen automatically. Some people don't understand. You can't understand it by listening. You must practice it. I'm talking about the actual situation and practical experience. You can start from meditation gradually, and gradually you will have some practical experience. At this time, you will really understand what meditation is, and then you will really understand these experiences I have mentioned and what will happen after meditation goes deep in the future. You can start with the simplest etheric meditation. I just mentioned the experience of the etheric body leaving the body. Its first step is to start with etheric meditation and protect your abdomen. After 10, we will directly guide you into the etheric body meditation, and then you can experience it. When your etheric body accumulates enough energy in the center of the abdomen, it begins to rise to the spine. If the rising force is due to a saturated force, not a pure guiding force, but a natural saturated force, then the energy in your abdomen has reached a great saturation, 100% saturation. Of course, this is impossible, it will only reach more than 90%, and it is impossible to reach 100%, because it is overshooted when it reaches more than 90%. In the case of relative saturation, this energy begins to flock to the spine. In this case, if the whole body is in absolute harmony and absolute relaxation, you will not be able to perceive the existence of the body. Because the body is very comfortable, as the ancients said, when the shoes fit, you can't feel the existence of your feet. At this time, when your inner energy is saturated, your whole body will naturally be in the most comfortable state, so comfortable that you can't feel whether your body is sitting here or not. Sitting here for a long time, you find that you can't even feel your hands and feet. It's so comfortable In this case, when you can forget yourself, the energy of your etheric center and the energy of Dantian will automatically rise from the spine when they reach a saturation point. When these two conditions are met, once the etheric energy rises from the spine, it will automatically drive the whole etheric body to rise, that is, you will have a similar floating experience. Often this experience feels upward for the first time, and it is unlikely to drift left or right from the side of the body. Generally, it is upward. Because it rises with the spine. When your etheric body does not disturb its floating process, it will suddenly feel out of the body for no reason. Then you will inexplicably see someone who looks like you. Experience like this belongs to the first of the seven levels of experience mentioned by Meibaba: the etheric level. This level is actually the lowest level. Of course, it is higher than our material world, but it is the lowest level in the intangible world and belongs to the first level. Once you can get your etheric body out of your body, just like when Krishnamurti was 30 years old, once he boarded the Kundalini, his pain was unbearable, reaching his head, shoulders and neck, which was very painful. He even felt pain behind his head and neck, so it stuck out and it hurt very, very much until it was behind his head. This energy moves so much in his head that he can't stand any slight sound, even the dust in the air will make him feel miserable. He lives in Ohai, which is a mountain forest with a good environment, and the air is very fresh, but even with such fresh air, he can feel tiny dust particles in the air, and his sensitivity has reached a high level. Once your inner energy rises along the spine, your sensitivity will automatically increase greatly. Later, after suffering for several nights in a row, someone suggested that he meditate under a tree outside the yard. He ran and sat under the tree. After sitting for a long time, he began to feel floating. He came to the tree overhead and felt some divine power. Of course, it sounds suspenseful, like a fairy tale. In fact, when you meditate, you may have the experience of floating, and you may not necessarily experience some kind of divine power. This is not necessary, but when you begin to achieve absolute physical coordination, your etheric body may experience an upward drift. Even if your etheric body has no floating experience and no obstacles, there is actually no obstacle to your inner growth and inner ascension. Your etheric body can enter your body. It can walk inward without leaving its body. It can complete the work of walking inward in your body. If a person enters a deeper transcendental awareness, he can directly enter a deeper experience in the body, and that deeper experience may be strange and feel strange. You may suddenly reach a deeper depth and start to feel that your body is expanding automatically, or you may feel that your body will be infinitely huge and your head will almost be higher than the roof. Or some people have the opposite experience, and he suddenly feels that his body has become infinitely small, so small that it is only smaller than a table tennis ball. Experiences like this are all reactions of the etheric body. Or you may feel a strange burning sensation on your body, and there is a strong burning sensation in a certain area, as if that place is on fire. Actually, it's not a fire, but there may be something wrong with your place, and the energy is greatly condensed in that direction. Because energy is concentrated in a certain area of the body, you will feel that place is very hot, very hot, and you will have a similar experience inside your etheric body when you meditate. In fact, after all, those experiences belong to the etheric body. They are not particularly deep experiences, but they are relatively shallow experiences. Regarding the first, second, third and fourth layers of the etheric body, I remember that in the previous Yoga Sutra, you will experience various pictures of the first, second, third and fourth layers, especially the fourth layer, and you will experience a very vivid visual picture, which is so profound that it is difficult for you to tell whether it is true or not. You may see some people you like directly in that visual picture, or some pictures you have been hinted at. Appear in front of you. Maybe it's a garden, a scene you like very much, or there are your relatives in it, you will see it. This is actually very dangerous. If you are fascinated by this "Alice's Holy Land", you will be fascinated. No matter what pictures you see in your meditation experience, just let it go and don't take it seriously. You may see various pictures in meditation, perhaps the past, belonging to memories, perhaps the future, belonging to imagination. So in the first to fourth levels of the ether, you will experience all kinds of strange things, but don't take them seriously. Because these things only appear when you close your eyes, and once you open your eyes and quit meditation, they are completely gone. Their danger only exists when you close your eyes. But from the fifth level, the situation is very different. Once you have the fifth level experience, even if you open your eyes, it will not disappear, and it will become the normal state of your life. In Zen, many people suddenly have a fifth-level experience because of their understanding of the "talking head" or the Zen master's heavy drinking. It belongs to the experience of the soul and the experience of the soul. In fact, most people have had similar experiences. Once an experience belongs to the mind, it means that ordinary people have had it more or less. The experience of level 1 to level 4 belongs to the mind and subconscious, so most people will only experience it when you are asleep and in your dreams, and it is difficult to experience it when you are awake. The fifth level of experience belongs to the mind, so you have experienced it even when you are awake. I can give you an example. Everyone may have the experience of traveling and climbing to the top of the mountain. When you stand on the top of the mountain, you will suddenly feel that other mountains are very short under the sky ... you suddenly have some kind of open-minded experience. You are like a complete person. The whole heart chakra is completely open, completely open, as if there is an experience that your body is integrated with the whole world. You can't help but blend in with the whole mountain and river. In fact, this kind of experience should be experienced by everyone, and more or less you have had similar experiences. Or there is another situation when listening to music. When you hear the climax of a piece of music, you suddenly feel that the whole world is in you. The climax rises so high that you feel that you have touched the sky and the milky way, and there is an infinite expansion experience. This infinitely expanding experience is the fifth level of experience. Another situation is that you are listening to someone's speech. You go to an auditorium and listen to a person's speech. You suddenly find this person very attractive, and his aura seems to have covered the whole meeting place. You can even feel some kind of spiritual passion from a distance. He is talking about generate enthusiastically. It seems that you can feel some of his emotions. In fact, because the speaker has expanded, he has expanded to the whole venue, so that all the people in the venue can feel his experience and have similar empathy. When he is excited, when he is full of emotions, he can inspire others' emotions. This kind of experience is actually an active extended experience, which is called "single-minded" experience in Zen. Because now you are conjoined with others, and you are one. Not two hearts. Now, between you, the whole range is a heart, covered by a heart. That kind of exclusive experience will even cover the horizon, that is, the whole horizon will be within his coverage. A person who has achieved this single-minded experience is called "breaking the initial barrier" within the scope of Zen. The first level, people who broke the first level, are still there, it should be said that it is not uncommon. When you reach the expansion of consciousness and can cover the whole field of vision, you reach this kind of "one heart" experience. If only one venue is built, it is not the first level of Zen, it is too young. If you are in a room surrounded by walls, you can expand smoothly, beyond the walls and cover the whole horizon. This is the real experience of the first level. A fifth-level experience, a completely expanded experience. It is also called objective perception, because your perception is vast. Nan huaijin had such an experience when he was young. One of his students' names is Ye Man, and now he is over 90 years old and has the same experience. This kind of experience is very easy to make you feel that you have achieved unity, because it is like a fusion experience. But this "integration" is actually subjective, not objective. Because you are forced to expand, it is not the whole world that drowns you, but you cover the whole world. In other words, you are actually a kind of violence, and this expansion has very obvious subtle violence in it. You are expanding, and this expansion is actually an experience of self-reaching absolute expansion, which is a kind of self-expansion. Often people in this experience will inevitably encounter the balance of existence in life, and he will certainly encounter it in all aspects, because you are expanding. When you are expanding, the whole life automatically compresses you, out of the need for balance. Now Lerner in the west, Zhang Defen recommended Lerner, and he is talking about the so-called current experience. I saw one of his videos, in which the atmosphere of his whole speech was inflated. And the "now" he said is actually an extended experience with coverage. If you watch his videos carefully, you will feel that this person's language, including this person's feelings, is inflated. Learners are the ones who reach this kind of extended experience, but Eckhart Thor, the author of The Power of the Present, does not extend it. You will see that Eckhart Thor is contracting all over. He has a six-level contraction experience. And an inflated person, he will give people a strong feeling of gas field, because he really expands outward. Nan huaijin had the same experience when he was young. When he had such an experience, life automatically gave him a balance. During that time, he lived in the mountains of Sichuan. Zen and Hinduism also have a similar saying that a person who reaches the extended experience cannot be in the crowd. Because you are in the crowd, it means that you will be more shocked. There are all kinds of channels and people that can be used as tools to shock you. Therefore, a person who has reached the expanded experience, it is best to stay away from the crowd, go to the mountains, and go to places where no one is there. One way is to reduce the impact, and the other is that the mountainous area is relatively poor, and that poor life itself will bring you some balance. So this is why when nan huaijin had this kind of expansion experience when he was young, he unconsciously went to the mountains and was closed for a year or two. Although it was not intentional, some natural balance drove him to retreat, and he had to retreat. In fact, his time in this experience is not long. You will find that the face of the whole South Division is very soft and introverted. He naturally reaches the balance of internal contraction in the future, and he has left the experience of the fifth floor. His disciple Ye Man, who is over ninety years old, is still on the fifth floor. In the experience of expansion, she failed to contract inward. From her photos and the way she talks, we can see that she is still a domineering person, and an inflated person will appear more domineering. This is a natural reaction to the expansion of consciousness. But one thing to mention is that you don't have to go through the fifth level to get promoted. The fifth level should actually be avoided, which is actually mentioned in Zen. This is why many Zen founders refused to comment on Three Biographies. Many ancestors even thought that they could bypass it directly without going through the initial customs clearance and re-customs clearance. The first pass and the second pass can actually be said to be detours. Of course, if we advance in a certain way, we will inevitably go through the fifth level. But you can move forward in another way. You should bypass the heart chakra to expand the experience, which will be better for you. You have to have a contraction experience directly. When you contract, you will have a subjective vision, which is the sixth level of vision. You will be completely dissolved in the light of the source of consciousness without expanding. In fact, the emphasis on vulgarity in Zen is not the sixth level. This is actually an extended experience. My teacher Lao She once made a metaphor. The three customs of Zen are like two doors. When the first door enters, it is called the first pass, and the first pass is broken. There is a long corridor in the middle, called reentry, and slowly reentry. In fact, there is no obstacle to the whole reentry. The whole re-entry is that after you go deep into this extended experience, you get deeper and deeper, so that one day your vision suddenly breaks. That boundary, that range was suddenly broken one day, and you couldn't stand it at once. Like a rubber band, it's broken. When it is broken, the whole rubber band suddenly returns to the source and origin, and when it suddenly returns to the center point, it is the experience of breaking labor barriers, which is the sixth-level experience. In fact, there is no real reentry. Therefore, Lao She once made it very clear about the three levels. In fact, one can bypass the initial clearance and re-clearance and directly enter the experience of overwork clearance and the third clearance. If you can directly contract inward, you can directly experience the brightness of the source of consciousness and the Ming Can of the source of consciousness. You will go directly into the experience of subjective perception. This is a subjective perception and a conscious perception. It doesn't even have a specific location or a specific range of perception. It is so profound, so internalized, so introverted. So this is a thorough level 6 experience. I know this may not be understandable to most people. But it doesn't matter, I just say this to let you know these general situations and the general steps of consciousness. In case you don't recognize a similar situation in the future, you can recognize it in the future. Some people can tell where they are and where they are. Or after an inner experience, you can roughly judge where you are. This is very important, so you can avoid detours. So Zen mentioned the fifth level, that is, seeing mountains is not mountains, and seeing water is not water. After your consciousness suddenly expands to the horizon, you will find that a person who has such an experience will immediately say that the mountains and rivers are all in me. Because he really surrounded all the scenes, all these mountains and rivers. He will immediately express that all the mountains and rivers are in me. In fact, this experience sounds magnificent, magnificent. But an experience that sounds grand is actually very low. When a person reaches the sixth level, completely breaks the third level and breaks the labor barrier, his expression is completely different. Therefore, Zen expresses the third-level experience as looking at mountains or mountains and water or water. Everything is back to the beginning. The mountain is still the original mountain and the water is still the original water. Taoist Zen master said even more thoroughly. He said that the experience of finally breaking labor barriers was normal and completely normal. Nothing special, so it's strange. On the contrary, the higher level experience is unpretentious. Without that magnificent momentum, it became unpretentious and declined. So Nan Huai Jin later I suspected that he had experienced internal contraction. He became very gentle and introverted from the photos and began to really enter simplicity. And the person who has reached the initial experience, a person who has expanded the experience, looks strong, looks emotional and has an overwhelming feeling. But often such people are low, while a simple person, a humble person, is high. So life is always like this. The higher you are, the lower you are outside. When you reach a higher level inside, your outside will appear more ordinary. It will always be like this. People like Huang Nianzu and Xia Lianju have really reached the sixth level. Once again, they returned to simplicity, which is the first fruit mentioned in Biography to the South. A person who really achieves the first fruit, as long as he can work hard to live in the light of the five senses all his life, he will surpass all personal habits more and more, and sooner or later he will enter a higher fruit position, two fruits, three fruits and even four fruits. And a person who reaches the Four Fruits truly reaches the seventh level, truly and completely integrated with God, with that source, or with that nirvana. So the people on the seventh floor are real saints, people like Meibaba are real saints, and people like Buddha and Jesus are real saints. Therefore, Zen says that a person breaks through the three customs and realizes thoroughly only because of Buddha, not because of Buddha. Only level six. Did he become an ordinary person because of his location, or did he become an ordinary person because of his location? It will take time to truly ascend the throne. Well, that's the general situation. A * * * is seven. If you want to know these seven levels, you can see the beautiful naughty chicken. There are books in * * *, in my consciousness internalization center and in Qian Yi center. You can download the book about naughty chicken. You can go and have a look. Some people don't know that special major just now, but you can get to know it. Ok, let me see if there are any other questions.
