Rao Yuyan's Representative Works
Over the years, after teaching, Rao Yuyan has composed more than 700 vocal and instrumental works of different genres. Most of his works adopt a variety of polyphonic techniques, which have strong local characteristics and form a distinctive and unique musical personality. Many works, especially some instrumental works, have exerted great influence at home and abroad. The main representative works are: piano solo "Handcart Impromptu", "Introduction and Fugue", "Listening to Books and Singing", "Lyrics", cello music "Memories", "Happy Canal in Jujube Garden", national orchestral music "Yin Shi-A Chinese Dream", "Yin Shi-A Rain Bell" and "Yin Shi-Drumming the Soul". "Three polyphonic ditties of Chang 'an ancient music" won the honorary award of the first national collection and selection of children's piano works.
