Scale removal skills of PVC pipeline
The main components of scale are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate. If it is to be removed, it can be soaked in dilute hydrochloric acid. If you can't find hydrochloric acid, you can soak it in concentrated white vinegar (or vinegar essence) because scale can be dissolved in acid.

Because we know that scale is basically an alkaline substance, it can be neutralized by removing acidic substances, so the material we choose is edible white vinegar. Just soak the pipeline in edible white vinegar for 4-6 hours, then rinse the surface and interior of the pipeline with water, and then gently wipe the surface of the pipeline with cotton cloth. Generally, it needs to be descaled once every six months or less.

Or ... Put the pipe joint in the water for a moment, and then you will see white vinegar and scale flowing out of the pipe. This cleaning method can also achieve the effect of sterilization. This method is used for pipes in general families. Of course, if the pipe is buried in the wall, it can't be dismantled. Do not use strong acids, such as sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid. When cleaning the water pipe scale, so as not to damage the performance and internal structure of the water pipe. Moreover, the pipe must be disassembled according to the joint, and forced disassembly is not allowed to avoid damaging the pipe.

PVC water pipes are generally used as sewer pipes. There is no need to remove the scale from the sewer pipe. If descaling is needed, 5% dilute sulfuric acid can be used to flush the pipeline, which can remove the dirt on the pipe wall.

If it is drinking water, a scale inhibitor for drinking water can be installed on the pipeline, and the scale in the pipeline will gradually soften and fall off, and at the same time, a protective film will be formed on the inner wall of the pipeline to prevent scale corrosion.

Most of them are made of iron pipes or PVC pipes. Generally speaking, after more than five years in the house, harmful substances such as heavy metals, miscellaneous bacteria and microalgae plants will begin to precipitate on the wall of tap water pipes. As time goes on, corrosion and fouling will become more and more serious, so it must be cleaned regularly.
