Professor Xu Huji has been working in the front line of clinical and scientific research for a long time, and has rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various rheumatic immune diseases. The main direction of medical research is clinical immunology. Undertaking major (973, 863), key and project funds at home and abroad 18. The funding amount reached 3.86 million Australian dollars and10.29 million RMB respectively. Nine doctoral students and four master students have been trained at home and abroad, and 70 papers have been published.

Professor Xu has made many substantial progress in immunology research in recent years. These achievements have been published in international authoritative medical academic journals such as Journal of Experimental Medicine (impact factor 15), Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (impact factor 1 1), Journal of Immunology (impact factor 7) and Rheumatism of the Year (impact factor 5). After 2000 alone, the cumulative impact factor of the papers and periodicals published by the applicant was as high as 144. Because of these works, in 2005, Professor Xu was invited as a co-author to give a summary report on immunology research in the top international medical journal Annals of Immunology (with an impact factor of 52 points).
