Why: Why did you attend the academic conference?

For the first time, Xiao Bai participated in an academic conference as a volunteer, only remembering all kinds of dizziness when listening to English reports, nervousness and anxiety when receiving VIP cows, and paying attention to details to guide the participants and the reception work at the venue. The only happy thing may be the rich variety and delicious fruit cake during tea break (eating a lot of walnuts to supplement the lost brain power). As a scientific researcher, the most important thing to attend an academic conference is of course to ask Daniel about the prospect of his research direction (whether this road is feasible and whether there is room for us to play in the current research situation), or to get to know colleagues for future exchanges or to find potential employers. Yes, this is an academic conference. Xiaobai can broaden his research ideas and open up a new chapter in his research.

The people you meet at academic conferences may be future colleagues, collaborators, reviewers, and other roles that affect your science and career. Scientific career is not an easy road, but it will become easier if it is supported by peers.
