CALIS China University Library &; Information system (CALIS for short) is one of the three public service systems of China's higher education "2 1 1 Project", "Ninth Five-Year Plan" and "Tenth Five-Year Plan" approved by the State Council. The purpose of CALIS is to integrate national investment, modern library concept, advanced technical means, rich literature resources and human resources in colleges and universities under the leadership of the Ministry of Education, to build a joint guarantee system for educational literature with the digital library of higher education in China as the core, to realize the * * * construction, * * knowledge and * * enjoyment of information resources, to exert the greatest social and economic benefits, and to serve the cause of higher education in China.

I. Introduction of resources

At present, abstract databases mainly include the following types:

1, China current issue catalog database.

All Chinese academic journals published in China collected by CALIS member libraries are included. Up to now, 5500 kinds of periodicals and 2 million periodicals (or abstracts) have been included. It covers all disciplines of social science and natural science.

2.CCC database of articles and titles of western periodicals

The western language periodical system contains the secondary literature data of 24,000 western language periodicals, covering the periodical data of 9 famous secondary literatures, including the collection data of more than 100 large libraries and the full-text links of 15 electronic full-text periodical databases (covering more than 8,000 periodicals) which have been jointly purchased in China, and are updated once a week. The application of CCC's comprehensive service and platform of articles and titles database of western periodicals will scientifically and comprehensively integrate and dispatch resources, and greatly promote the enjoyment of western periodicals' literature resources nationwide. /

3.CALIS Joint Bibliographic Database (Chinese, English and Japanese versions)

It is the national "2 1 1 project" 100 joint catalogue database of university libraries, and it is one of the key databases of CALIS during the Ninth Five-Year Plan period. Its main task is to establish a multilingual joint cataloging database and an online cooperative cataloging and resource sharing system, to provide online public access to books and periodicals for teaching and scientific research in colleges and universities across the country, to support online cooperative cataloging in university libraries, and to lay a foundation for the sharing of collection resources, interlibrary loan and document delivery among member libraries.

4. University Dissertation Database

It has collected master's and doctoral dissertations from 83 CALIS member libraries, including Peking University and Tsinghua University, and has collected 70,000 pieces of processing data so far.

5. Conference paper database

Collect international conference papers sponsored by "2 1 1 project" 6 1 key schools. According to the current survey, there are about 20 international conferences sponsored by key universities every year, most of which provide conference proceedings with official publication numbers. The total number of conference papers updated every year can reach more than 6.5438+0.5 million.
