Research papers on Chinese sturgeon
On June 22nd, the Chinese sturgeon research institute of China Three Gorges Corporation launched the 20 10 release activity of Chinese sturgeon and rare fish in Yichang section of the Yangtze River (cherry orchard Wharf, Dianjun District). This activity * * * released 1 ACIPENSER sinensis, which is a sub-adult offspring artificially propagated by the Institute in 2007, with a full length of 125㎝ and a weight of about10; In 2008, the artificial breeding of Chinese sturgeon 1000 was 90㎝, weighing about 5. In 2009, the second generation of Chinese sturgeon was 5, with a total length of 50㎝ and a weight of about 350 g. In 2009 and 20 1000, the artificial breeding of mullet/kloc-0 was conducted. In order to facilitate scientific research and tracking, all released fish species are marked with pit pieces.

According to reports, the five second-generation Chinese sturgeons released this time were first obtained by the Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute in June 5438 +2009 10, which is the only second-generation Chinese sturgeon population in the world. The success of artificial breeding of Chinese sturgeon makes it possible to get rid of excessive dependence on wild resources and establish a stable artificial breeding population in the process of species protection of Chinese sturgeon. It is a major technological breakthrough in the study of species protection of Chinese sturgeon, which is a milestone and is at the international leading level. The second-generation Chinese sturgeon released this time was carefully cultivated and domesticated in the field by the researchers of the institute for 8 months, and its signs, feeding habits and adaptability are no different from those of the first-generation Chinese sturgeon. This release to the Yangtze River will carry the research work of the Chinese sturgeon research institute on the regression, adaptation and entry of all artificial populations of Chinese sturgeon into the Yangtze River, and further release all artificially bred Chinese sturgeons into the wild for the research institute, and further enrich the experience of field biological data of Chinese sturgeon. As a representative of rare fish in the world, Chinese sturgeon is the first time that human beings have released its artificial offspring into the natural environment.

20 10 is the International Year of Biodiversity established by the United Nations. The Institute of Chinese Sturgeon has increased the population of Chinese Sturgeon and Myxocyprinus asiaticus through proliferation and release, which is a practical action to conserve aquatic biological resources and protect biodiversity in the Yangtze River. It is hoped that people will pay attention to biodiversity through proliferation and release activities, realize the grim situation of biodiversity loss, and push the whole society to do its best to protect the earth's biological resources. The ceremony of releasing activities is simple, and more attention is paid to ecological effects and popular science propaganda effects. Twenty-two volunteers from China Three Gorges Corporation participated in this activity together with researchers from the institute.

This release activity is the 50th release of Chinese sturgeon by the Institute. So far, the institute has released more than 5.004 million Chinese sturgeons of various specifications to the Yangtze River and Pearl River basins. It has made positive contributions to the proliferation and continuation of rare aquatic species resources in the Yangtze River, such as Chinese sturgeon, and effectively protecting the ecological environment of the Yangtze River.
