In teaching, Professor Huamei always insists on teaching undergraduates in the front line. She takes every class seriously and is never late. In the past 32 years, I have never missed a class, whether it is windy or rainy, or when I have difficulties at home. In the classroom, we should not only adhere to the traditional teaching methods, but also use blackboard writing to teach vividly, and at the same time adopt the way of crossing with multimedia to teach vividly and easily, so that students can learn as much knowledge as possible in pleasure. The main courses taught are "China Clothing History", "Clothing Culture" and "China Arts and Crafts History".
2. Teaching concept and teaching content reform
(1) Pay attention to the update of teaching content and keep pace with the times.
Professor Huamei has been teaching in colleges and universities for 32 years and has rich teaching experience. She never sticks to the rules in teaching content and teaching methods, but strives for innovation. She keeps abreast of the latest scientific research achievements at home and abroad and the new trends and trends of related disciplines, and supplements students with new knowledge in time in combination with the teaching content. The textbooks she compiled are also advancing with the times, constantly improving and constantly putting forward new ideas and new viewpoints. For example, the first edition of "History of Clothing in China" wrote 1949, the second edition added a chapter to 1997, and the third edition was written in 2007, adding a chapter "Clothing at the beginning of the 20th century". Although 2 1 century is only seven or eight years, it is indeed a very beneficial teaching and research work to continue to write the history of clothing in time. This practice is of great significance for students to know the changes and fashions of clothing in time, and also promotes the construction of courses. After 1996, the teaching achievement of clothing culture won the first prize in Tianjin, the teaching achievement of national colleges and universities, and in 2009, the textbook construction of clothing history won the second prize in Tianjin, the outstanding teaching achievement of national colleges and universities.
(2) The theory course is not limited to the form, but insists on the method of "coming in and taking out" to increase students' interest in learning the theory course through on-site teaching.
The teaching of clothing history belongs to theoretical teaching, but in order to cultivate students' comprehensive ability, Huamei draws lines according to ancient paintings in self-made teaching materials, and then lets students copy these clothing illustrations according to the course order, so that students can understand and master the clothing styles in different periods and effectively cultivate students' practical ability. On the other hand, in addition to classroom teaching, Professor Huamei leads undergraduates into China History Museum, Palace Museum, Tianjin Art Museum, Yangliuqing New Year Pictures Exhibition Hall and other places every year. Combining with physical teaching, it not only increases students' intuitive feelings, but also enables students to have a deeper and more vivid understanding of China culture, greatly improving students' interest in theoretical courses and drawing sufficient nutrients from them.

In order to improve the level of theoretical teaching, Professor Huamei insists on taking undergraduates to engage in scientific research, tirelessly provides professional writing guidance for undergraduates, and revises it word by word, which embodies her selfless character and hard work spirit! Dozens of undergraduates have published papers in official journals such as Facing Art, Essays on Development Strategy and Outlook of Clothing Culture. This "learning by doing" method, which was created by Professor Huamei, combined with encouragement but not forgetting strict requirements, effectively cultivated students' perseverance and curiosity.
In order to broaden students' horizons, on the one hand, she actively contacted and held various special lectures, on the other hand, she also actively organized students to participate in various professional forums, such as "clothing culture and modernization concept", so that students could have all-round contact with information and ensure that students could master first-hand information. Organize necessary social practice as much as possible. For example, in 2009, in Tianjin, when designing costumes for people on floats participating in the National Day parade, not only young teachers and graduate students, but also undergraduates were boldly brought, so that students could get exercise in practice. At the same time, we pay attention to the expansion and use of teaching bases, and the undergraduate students have achieved remarkable results.
