Six international retrieval systems
1) American SCIence citation index sci (see below).
2) American engineering index Ei (see below).
3) Chemical Abstracts, CA). The amount of chemistry and chemical literature reported by CA accounts for the world chemistry.
About 98% of the total chemical literature is the most famous, comprehensive and widely used search chemistry in the world today.
A large retrieval tool for chemical literature.
4) British scientific abstracts, SA; ; Or inspected)
-Part A-Physical Abstracts (PA);
-Electronic and Electrical Abstracts (Part B-Electrical Engineering &; Electronics abstracts
,EEA);
-Part C-Computer and Control Abstracts (CCA);
-information technology, IT).
5) Russian abstract journal (AJ) or р (* * * more than 220 volumes) is called the third in the world.
Large-scale comprehensive retrieval system.
6) Correct Bulletin of Japanese Science and Technology (CBST;; Yin Wei
Brush this, *** 12 volume).
Now it has been expanded into a large database "Japan Information Center Science and"
Science and technology, JICST). Known as the world's three comprehensive retrieval systems.
See appendix a for a list of important international retrieval systems.
American Science Citation Index (SCI)
American Science Citation Index (SCI) was published by institute for scientific information in 1957.
Institute for scientific information (ISI) was founded in Philadelphia, USA. For more than forty years,
SCI (or ISI) database is developing continuously, and it has become the most important large-scale database in the contemporary world, and it has been listed internationally.
The first of the six famous retrieval systems. It is not only an important retrieval reference book, but also an evaluation of scientific research achievements.
An important basis. It has become the most authoritative one in the world for basic research and the application of basic research results.
To evaluate the system. Is to evaluate a country, a scientific research institution, an institution of higher learning, a periodical, or even a
One of the important symbols of a researcher's academic level.
3. 1 SCI source journals are of two grades.
Science is the core library of SCI, with product code K (inner ring);
N SCI-Expanded (SCI-E for short), also known as sci-explore. It is an extension library of SCI, and the product code is D (outer ring).
It is equally important to choose both inner and outer rings. The differences are: influencing factors, geographical factors, discipline balance and so on.
3.2 SCI version of SCI products
① SCI Print printing plate. 196 1 has been established so far. Bimonthly. Now there are more than 3700 kinds of periodicals, all of which are in the inner circle.
② SCI-CDE CD version. Quarterly update. Now there are more than 3700 kinds of periodicals, all of which are in the inner circle.
SCI-CDE with abstract, CD version with abstract. Updated month by month. There are now more than 3,700 periodicals, all of which
For the inner ring.
④ Tape database. Updated weekly. Now there are more than 5700 kinds of periodicals, the outer circle.
⑤ SCI searches Online database. Updated weekly. Now there are more than 5700 kinds of periodicals, the outer circle.
⑥ Science Network SCI. Updated weekly. Now there are more than 5700 kinds of periodicals, the outer circle.
3.3 Classification of SCI database
At present, SCI databases are divided into two categories.
3.3. 1 citation index database
The content of (1) CI
1) Information about periodical papers-author's name, professional title, source and English abstract;
2) References cited in the paper.
(2) The academic field of Ci.
1) SCIentific citation index, sci (product code K) 3500 journal;
2) Social Science Citation Index, SSCI (J) 1700 Journal;
3) Art and Humanities Citation Index; Citation index of humanities, journal AHCI 1 150.
4) other professional citation index
(1) calculating the citation index of computer mathematics (4); ;
② Biochemistry and biophysics Biochemistry & Citation Index; Biophysics citation index (bb);
③ Biotechnology Citation Index (HI);
④ Chemical Citation Index (CD); ;
⑤ Neuroscience Citation Index (MD);
⑥ citation index of materials science (MS).
3.3.2 Current Content Database (CC for short)
This bibliography database is divided into 7 groups. Besides,
Index of proceedings of scientific and technological conferences; Technical processing (ISTP);
-Social Science Index &; Humanities courses (IS
SHP).
3.4 SCI requirements for manuscript content and academic level
1) mainly includes innovative papers with high academic and theoretical value such as mathematics, physics and chemistry;
2) Projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, tackling key scientific and technological problems and "863" high-tech projects;
3) The thesis has reached the international advanced level.
