What's the difference between core journals and cssci?
The citation index of Chinese social sciences is called "China people? Socializing? Science? Quote? Index ",abbreviated as CSSCI. It is used to retrieve the essays and literature citations in the field of social sciences in China. It is a citation database developed by China Social Science Research and Evaluation Center of Nanjing University. In other words, cssci is the core of NTU, and the Citation Index of Chinese Social Sciences selected by NTU is evaluated every two years.

Core journals usually refer to the core of Peking University, also known as Chinese core, which is selected by Peking University every four years.

That is, these two are actually different certification bodies. Because the core periodicals are made by Peking University Library, there are many periodicals, which are recognized by ordinary universities. Good universities generally recognize CSSCI, because the core journals of Peking University cover all disciplines. CSSCI is a citation index of social sciences in China, which is smaller than the core journals of Peking University.
