It is not a mid-term evaluation, that is, in the mid-term stage of several years of doctoral study, the existing achievements and reading situation of doctors are evaluated to judge whether doctors can continue to study for doctoral degrees. If the doctoral students fail to complete the expected tasks and cannot continue their doctoral studies, they will be dismissed.
Evaluation procedure:
1. The mid-term evaluation of doctoral students is organized and implemented by various colleges. Each college should first formulate a specific evaluation implementation plan, report it to the graduate school for the record after being approved by the degree evaluation sub-Committee, and announce it to the doctoral students in advance;
2. According to the actual situation, each college establishes a mid-term evaluation team for doctoral programs according to the first-level discipline or two disciplines. The evaluation team consists of at least three tutors with doctoral enrollment qualifications, who are responsible for the evaluation of this discipline;
3. The mid-term examination of doctoral students consists of two parts: professional comprehensive examination and scientific research ability examination (the weight is determined by each college). Among them, the professional comprehensive examination is mainly based on professional core courses, and the research ability assessment can be carried out in various forms such as research summary report, thesis opening defense and comprehensive interview according to the characteristics of the discipline;
4. Doctoral students are required to submit the Provisional Examination Form for Doctoral Students of Hefei University of Technology (see annex). The mid-term exam results are divided into four grades: excellent, good, qualified and unqualified, and the proportion of each grade is determined by each college;
5. The college will sort the assessment results and report them to the graduate school for future reference.
