2. Summer (May-September) is an anti-season transplant, and most of them are key projects with special tasks. Now adopting advanced transplanting methods and scientific maintenance can also ensure the survival of trees transplanted in summer.
The most important thing in transplanting big trees is root work. When the roots are raised, the tree will have a solid foundation for survival. We should conscientiously do the following work:
1. Don't damage the root bark and fine fibrous roots when digging trees. When you meet a big root, you should use a hand saw to cut it off, and the cross section should be smooth. You can't use a shovel to cut it off to avoid splitting.
2. The diameter of soil ball is usually 7- 10 times that of DBH of trees. When transplanted out of season, the diameter of soil ball is 10- 12 times that of tree DBH. The surface of the soil ball should be smooth, small at the top and large at the bottom, and the soil ball should be firmly bound, so that the soil ball can not be partially or completely damaged during hoisting and planting, otherwise it will directly affect the survival of the tree. Try not to transplant trees with damaged soil balls. In the process of planting, the soil ball bag should be carefully taken out and cleared out of the hole to avoid water and rotten roots in the hole.
