1. Set the chapter number first. Here, I want to tell MathType which chapter and section it is in, so MathType can automatically set the formula number according to the chapter.
Place the cursor on the chapter title and click "Chapter &; Section, and then insert a delimiter.
Since there is no chapter number in our formula number, I just set the chapter number here, and then click OK.
After confirmation, a red letter will flash by. Ignore it and repeat this step to set the chapter number for each chapter title.
2. Use the "number on the right" in the MathType function bar to insert the formula. Enter your formula in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the cross to close the dialog box, and the formula will be pasted into your document.
But there are two problems here: the serial number of the formula is wrong and does not change with the chapter; The formula number is not right-aligned, which exceeds a point.
1) format number
Then change it like me. The key is to check the "chapter number". It's finally confirmed.
As you can see, the molecular formula is correct.
2) Modify the tab stop
Find "MTDisplayEquation" in the style and add it to the quick style library. This style is automatically created by MathType for the formula numbered on the right.
Modify style
Find "tab stop"
Change the Right Alignment value to the appropriate value in sequence, and set the tab stop width according to your own page.
