BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) According to the website of the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce officially released the Research Report on Sino-US Economic and Trade Relations today (hereinafter referred to as the report). The report gives a panoramic description of Sino-US economic and trade relations, combs the benefits of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States, and holds that China and the United States should properly handle contradictions, control differences, expand pragmatic cooperation, enrich the connotation of Sino-US economic and trade relations, and benefit the two peoples.

The report is divided into six parts: preface, background of Sino-US economic and trade relations, mutual benefit and win-win of Sino-US economic and trade relations, key economic and trade concerns of both sides, sustainable development of Sino-US economic and trade cooperation and conclusion. The report describes Sino-US economic and trade relations in a panoramic way, combs the interests of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States, reveals the interest blending pattern of bilateral economic and trade relations, and holds that China and the United States should properly handle contradictions, control differences, expand pragmatic cooperation, enrich the connotation of Sino-US economic and trade relations and benefit the two peoples.

The report pointed out that China and the United States have achieved complementary advantages through economic and trade cooperation, and obtained extensive and huge economic benefits, including not only direct benefits brought by bilateral trade and two-way investment, but also indirect benefits in economy, employment and industry.

The United States benefits from Sino-US economic and trade cooperation: first, trade in goods. Judging from American exports to China, China is the largest export market in the United States except North America, and it is also one of the fastest growing major export markets in the United States. Exports to China have brought tangible benefits to American states. Judging from the US imports from China, a considerable part of China's exports to the US are processing trade. Under this trade model, China is at the low end of the value chain such as processing and assembly, while American enterprises have mastered high value-added links such as product design, core component manufacturing, transportation, warehousing and marketing, and gained most profits from them.

The second is service trade. The US service trade with China has maintained a long-term surplus.

The third is two-way investment. Judging from American investment in China, according to the statistics of China's Ministry of Commerce, in 20 15 years, the sales revenue of Chinese and American-funded enterprises was about 517 billion US dollars, and the profits exceeded 36 billion US dollars. The vast majority of Chinese American-funded enterprises have performed well, and the China market has become an important growth point and profit center. According to the report issued by the National Committee on US-China Relations and Rongding Company, in 20 15 years, China enterprises invested 1500 million US dollars in the United States.

The fourth is finance. American investors have a large number of rights and interests in China's financial market, and have made extensive strategic investments in China enterprises, and made huge profits through equity appreciation and dividends.

At the end of the report, it is pointed out that the great achievements of Sino-US economic and trade cooperation are the result of the two countries' active participation in economic globalization and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation. The formation of the all-round interest blending pattern of Sino-US economic and trade relations is a full manifestation of the complementary advantages of both sides. At present, the global industrial layout is constantly adjusted, new industrial chains, value chains and supply chains are increasingly formed, and new technologies and formats such as artificial intelligence and digital economy are constantly emerging, which provides a deep impetus for the in-depth development of Sino-US cooperation in various fields. At the same time, both China and the United States are committed to adjusting the economic structure, changing the mode of economic growth, and cultivating new growth drivers, which has brought new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade cooperation. The development of China and the United States can complement and promote each other, and the two sides can continue to be mutually beneficial and win-win economic partners.
