Take Chongqing, my hometown, for example. Without the all-round development of the motherland, I can't witness the prosperity and beauty of its cities.
The development of science and technology has promoted the development of social economy, and even the ordinary road has recorded the extraordinary history of Chongqing's scientific and technological development. From the bumpy gravel road to the slightly flat cement road, to the wide and straight asphalt road. This is the memory left by the new era. Things on the road also range from mottled horseshoe prints to neat or irregular wheel prints; From wild and unruly hooves to noisy motors; From two rough reins to a flexible steering wheel. People have almost lived a life of "turning their hands into clouds and covering their hands for rain" in recent years.
At 5pm on April 29th, 2009, Chongqing Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge, known as "the world's largest span arch bridge", was officially opened to traffic. It stands in the air, across the blue waves. Dozens of thick and strong steel bars pulled Wolong across the river. The silver-gray bridge is like a wide belt, tied to the magnificent Yangtze River. On the plaque above the bridge, several profound and vigorous Chinese characters are engraved-"Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge" shines with the sparkling river under the sunshine, radiant and resplendent, adding a little elegance to the city appearance of hometown. How many people have had dazzling dreams, and it has become a proud reality.
According to the older generation, technology was not so developed before, there was no bridge to cross the river, and the only means of transportation for carrying people across the river was a boat. Paddle with manpower and drive forward across the river at a very slow speed. Sometimes the queue is late, and it takes a long time to cross the river, which is both time-consuming and energy-consuming. It is better to cross the river conveniently and quickly now.
It is very touching to walk on the bridge now. Looking at the waves under your feet, looking up at the sky above your head and looking straight at the distant coast ahead, can you not be proud?
The traffic in my hometown is getting more and more developed. In order to reduce pollution, Chongqing has also launched the call of "building a forest Chongqing". On dusty roads and decadent mounds, you will always see the vibrant scenery of thousands of trees, giving people a sense of beauty in full of green. This beautiful scenery is like a huge brocade handkerchief, which vividly embroiders the changes of the four seasons and adds icing on the cake to the new look of hometown.
Today, the motherland has 60 annual rings and is gradually becoming prosperous. Those glorious years left shining footprints, guiding us to enter a well-off life with advanced technology in the new era.
