CSIC has 8 engineering academicians, 35 national outstanding contribution experts and more than 30,000 professional technicians. 198 1 was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units. At present, there are four professional doctor training centers, such as the first-class professional doctor training center of ship and ocean engineering, the 19 professional master training center and the first-class postdoctoral mobile station of ship and ocean engineering.

Gong China, academician, researcher and doctoral supervisor. 1962 graduated from Harbin Institute of Military Engineering majoring in underwater acoustic engineering. In the same year, he worked in Hangzhou Institute of Applied Acoustics. During the period of 1985- 1987, he was a visiting scholar at CaseWesternReserveUniversity in the United States. He is currently the director of the National Defense Science and Technology Key Laboratory of Sonar Technology of Hangzhou Institute of Applied Acoustics.

As the chief designer, Gong presided over the development of a certain type of noise direction finding sonar for the first generation nuclear submarines. This sonar is the first generation of large submarine sonar designed and developed by our country, and its successful development has filled the gap in China. He presided over the development of two-type integrated sonar, which reached the advanced level of modern sonar equipment in developed countries and became the main sonar equipment of the second generation of conventional submarines and nuclear submarines in the navy. It has great military value and economic benefits and has a far-reaching impact on the development of sonar technology in China. A conventional submarine sonar system developed by him is the first sonar system in China to realize centralized display and comprehensive control. He presided over the development of a new generation of submarine side array sonar, completed the development and design of the prototype, and the prototype is being trial-produced.

He has presided over or participated in a number of key basic research topics of national defense and national security, such as passive positioning, target recognition, matched field processing, comprehensive underwater acoustic survey of key sea areas in the South China Sea, submarine integrated sonar system technology, new principles and methods of marine acoustic information processing, etc., and effectively applied the research results to engineering development. Over the years, in addition to writing a large number of engineering development scheme demonstration and technical design reports, he has also published or instructed graduate students to publish more than 40 papers in domestic academic journals or academic conferences at home and abroad. Training the tenth postgraduate 14 and jointly training 2 doctoral students.

Pan Jingfu, an academician of China Academy of Engineering, is a famous warship design expert in China and the chief designer of a new warship. Academician Pan has been committed to the improvement and development of China ships and their equipment for a long time. He presided over the design of two generations of four-type ships, each with new technological breakthroughs. The successful development of these ships indicates the capability and level of China's shipbuilding industry, which has a great influence at home and abroad. As the chief designer, China's first generation III ships were all successful. These ships have become the main warships of the navy, with the ability to sail long distances and perform a variety of tasks efficiently. In the design of the second generation new ship, he put forward the overall scheme of the ship with superior technical performance, updated the design concept, adopted the idea of system engineering, optimized the design of the platform and load as a whole system, and proposed that the whole ship should be organically coordinated instead of pursuing advanced single indicators, so as to achieve the comprehensive performance of the whole ship and make the overall performance of the ship reach the advanced level of similar ships in the 1990s. In addition, he has done pioneering work in new technical fields such as ship command and control, communication, information system and electromagnetic compatibility, which has promoted the development of science and technology and the technological progress of China's shipbuilding industry.
