Seven cord blood banks approved by China Health and Health Commission include: Beijing cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank, Tianjin cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank, Shanghai cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank, Shandong cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank, Guangdong cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank, Zhejiang cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank and Sichuan cord blood hematopoietic stem cell bank. Harbin Tianqing stem cells are not on the list, so they are illegal. National Health Commission stipulates that umbilical cord blood cannot be collected from different places. If expectant mothers want to store cord blood, they must verify whether the cord blood bank has a blood bank practice license issued by the local health bureau.
