I am busy graduating. Of course, some friends may not have started yet, and some people are asking me about PPT templates for thesis defense. I wanted to write an article specifically for this, but I still wanted to be lazy. So give me an entrance!
First of all, I will popularize two concepts for you.
Page break: it is to divide the text into two pages. But still in the same district.
Section break: The text is also divided into two different pages, but in different parts.
The biggest difference between these two usages lies in the header and footer and page settings, such as:
1. In document typesetting, if some pages need to be arranged horizontally or need different paper and margins, then these pages should be set as a separate section, which is different from the contents before and after;
2. In the document layout, the header, footer, page number and body part of the first page and table of contents need to be different, so the first page and table of contents should be regarded as separate sections;
3. If the page layout of the content before and after is the same as the header and footer, but you just need a new page to start a new chapter, you can generally use page breaks, and of course you can also use section break (next page).
In this case, section break must be inserted.
In general papers, the page numbers of statements, abstracts, contents and texts are different. Let me give you an example. Our school requires Roman numerals for abstracts and catalogues. The text uses Arabic numerals (starting from 1).
So how to meet the requirements?
The cover can't have a page number, which is not required. Then I'll acquiesce that he doesn't ask for page numbers either. We just need to page.
Abstract: The catalogue should have page numbers, and all of them have the same number (Roman numerals). Therefore, there must be a section between the statement and the Chinese abstract. At the same time, there should be pagination between Chinese abstract and English abstract, and there should also be pagination between English abstract and catalogue.
The text should be Arabic numerals. Starting with 1 So the catalogue and Chinese should be divided into chapters.
So how to operate?
1. First, keep font formats such as statement, abstract, keywords, table of contents and text, and delete all page breaks.
2. After that, start inserting section break and page breaks, and remember the position of your own section and page.
3. Click the footer of the section break page, and then click Cancel to link to the previous header.
4. Change the page number style, set relevant parameters, and then insert the page number.
