Monk cave is an outstanding military commander in China's modern history. Like many outstanding figures in the history of China, he has his dual nature, which includes the historical achievements of bravely fighting against foreign invaders and safeguarding national independence and dignity, as well as the crimes of suppressing the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Revolution and the Five Provinces Nian Army Uprising. History has left space for people to think and explore.

Sang Gelinqin, a Mongolian, was born in the 16th year of Qing Jiaqing (181June 5th, 2008) in an ordinary Taiji family in Hari Aige Sumu Baixingtu Gacha, Zuoyihou Banner, Horqin. His father, Buhe Delig, known as Beech in the history books, was from Bayan Hagatun, Jirgalang Town, and his family was poor. In the fifth year of Daoguang (1825), in July, the ninth king of Sotnamuduobuzhai County in Horqin Left-wing Banner of Zhelimu League suddenly died of illness. At the request of King Suo, the emperor instructed Horqin Zuoyi Houqi to choose an heir from King Suo's close relatives. Although Sanggelinqin is only fifteen years old, Horqin Mongolia's excellent pedigree has made this heroic boy (according to Mongolian pedigree, Sanggelinqin is the 26th generation grandson of Habutu Hasal, the second brother of Genghis Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan Dynasty). Daoguang chose him and made him the heir to the king of Sotnam Dobuzhai County. King Suo's wife is also the daughter of Daoguang. In terms of seniority, Sang Linqin was a nephew and was deeply loved by the emperor. Sange Jinqin is simple, maintaining the unique loyalty, frankness, simplicity and enthusiasm of Horqin people. Before choosing his successor, Sengqin studied in Wenchang Palace in Changtu for three years. He is talented and enterprising.

When he was young, Sangeqin served as commander-in-chief of the Eight Banners of Manchuria and Mongolia for many years. Although he is a noble gentleman and a senior general of the army, he is willing to be close to soldiers and care for his subordinates because he was born in poverty and understands the sufferings of the people. He is a brave and resourceful general. The harder the battle is, the more he personally supervises the battle, often taking the lead and rewarding and punishing his subordinates clearly. At the same time, the orthodox thought of loyal monarch left a deep imprint on him, and he did not hesitate to die for the Qing Dynasty.

After Daoguang's death, Sengqin was one of the ministers in charge of life. In the first year of Xianfeng (185 1), he was appointed as the commander-in-chief and was in charge of the etiquette department. In the second year of Xianfeng, he presided over the relocation and burial of Daoguang Emperor Zigong, and was respectfully awarded a third-class merit. Xianfeng three years in May, was appointed to supervise the capital inspection.
