Physical geological data is an important part of geological data. At present, the state attaches great importance to the management and storage of geological data. Through the investigation and study of Xinjiang geological archives, the author found that although there are geological archives in Xinjiang, there is no collection and management of physical geological data and no physical geological database, so a large number of physical geological data in Xinjiang are seriously abandoned, damaged and lost. The author thinks that in order to effectively protect and rationally develop and utilize important physical geological data, it is necessary to establish a standardized and systematic physical geological database in the construction of Xinjiang geological data collection, and puts forward some suggestions on establishing Xinjiang physical geological database.
Keywords: physical geological data, physical geological database, Xinjiang suggestion
Geological data refers to the original geological data, achievement geological data and physical geological data such as cores, various specimens, optical slices and samples in the form of words, charts, audio-visual images and electromagnetic media [1]. Physical geological data is an important part of geological data, and it is one of the most authentic and direct evidences to record geological characteristics and earth evolution. Physical geological database is also an important part of geological database. Physical geological database is the infrastructure for storing physical geological data. It has important reference value for the development of national economy and geological research [2].
Therefore, many countries and regions attach great importance to the construction of the management service system of physical geological data, establish core databases of different scales, form a relatively perfect management service system, and achieve remarkable social and economic benefits. In 2000, the physical geological data center of the Ministry of Land and Resources was established, and the national physical geological database was built. Since 2002, a number of provincial geological archives have been built. Anhui, Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan, Tibet and other provinces have also begun to plan the construction of physical goods warehouses, and the progress of each province is different. Some have just started planning research, and some have begun to demonstrate [3].
1 present situation of Xinjiang geological database
The Geological Archives of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is a unique professional archives. Its predecessor was the Geological Information Office of Geological Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which was established in 1956. In September, 1963, it was renamed Geological Data Office of Geological Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In 2000, the Geological Archives of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was formally established. See the table below.
A summary of the historical evolution of geological archives in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
200 1 After the establishment of the Department of Land and Resources of the Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Geological Archives and Xinjiang Land and Resources Information Center co-located. Xinjiang Geological Archives is located in Urumqi, with a total construction area of 1.974 square meters, including 525 square meters of data warehouse, 2 1.4 square meters of reading room and 265 square meters of office building.
By the end of 20 10, there were more than 9,500 geological data, of which 8 168 geological data were electronic files, accounting for about 86%. According to the collection classification statistics, including 465 regional geological survey data; 5260 solid mineral exploration data; Geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing geological exploration data 7 10 file; 353 hydrological engineering data; 863 reports on geological scientific research achievements; Other data 1750 file [4]. These data are the input of the state and society, and the result of the hard work of several generations of geological workers in geological prospecting units in the industries of geology, minerals, nonferrous metals, metallurgy, coalfield, nuclear industry and building materials in the whole autonomous region.
Although the Geological Archives of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is the only regional database with the richest collection results in Xinjiang, there is no collection and management of physical geological data and no physical geological database has been established. At present, the physical geological data of Xinjiang are scattered in the hands of grass-roots units or individuals in different departments. Almost all the physical geological data of the geological and mineral system are produced and preserved by grass-roots geological prospecting units of different systems, and they are also particularly scattered. Due to the lack of a unified collection and management organization in Xinjiang's geological and mineral system, the management of physical geological data is seriously lax, and a large number of physical data are damaged and lost. It can be seen that in order to effectively protect and rationally develop and utilize important physical geological data, it is not only necessary but also particularly urgent to establish a standardized and systematic physical geological database in the construction of Xinjiang geological data collection.
2 the significance of establishing Xinjiang physical and geological database
The establishment of Xinjiang physical geological database is of more practical value and scientific significance to the geological work of the country and Xinjiang.
2. 1 Physical geological data in Xinjiang is of great significance for preservation.
Physical geological data is the most valuable basic achievement data obtained in Xinjiang geological work. By establishing a physical geological database, we can understand, study and solve the geological and resource conditions in Xinjiang.
2.2 The physical and geological data of Xinjiang have been developed and applied for many times.
By using physical geological data, we can fully understand the degree of geological work in Xinjiang, understand the geological and metallogenic conditions in various regions of Xinjiang, and provide basic basis for geological exploration and scientific research. Therefore, through the establishment of physical geological database, we can avoid duplication of work, re-observe and test, gain new knowledge and discovery, provide scientific basis for exploration, prospecting and mining, reduce investment risk and promote the development of geological and mineral market.
2.3 Physical geological data in Xinjiang is of great academic significance.
Physical geological data is a "window" to reflect geological conditions and show Xinjiang's geological features and achievements in geological and mineral work; It provides experts and scholars engaged in geological research with first-hand data and original information about the geological features of Xinjiang, thus promoting the development of geological science and earth science. In addition, the physical geological data has the significance of scientific popularization and auxiliary teaching in social and educational fields.
3 the necessity of establishing Xinjiang physical and geological database
3. 1 The establishment of physical geological database is the need of the country, management and service.
The Outline of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the State Council's Decision on Strengthening Geological Work and the National Geological Exploration Plan formulated by the Ministry of Land and Resources clearly point out that it is required to strengthen the construction of library infrastructure; Establish a provincial physical geological database to rescue and protect important physical geological data [5]. It can be seen that the establishment of physical geological database is an indispensable part of geological work in Xinjiang.
3.2 The establishment of physical geological data is an important way to preserve and protect important physical geological data.
At present, people do not pay enough attention to physical data. The scattered storage and mutual blockade of physical geological data, some of which have poor preservation conditions, have caused serious losses and brought many difficulties to the management and utilization of physical geological data. Therefore, the problem of low utilization rate of physical geological data can not meet the new requirements of geological and mineral work.
3.3 The establishment of physical geological database is an important means to utilize and develop physical geological data and promote the development of geological and mineral market.
At present, whether it is geological exploration, mineral resources development or geological research, the support and help of physical geological database will be more needed. The establishment of physical geological database is the main means to unify and standardize core collection, manage files systematically and give full play to the development and utilization value and economic benefits of physical geological data.
3.4 The establishment of a physical geological database is a prerequisite to meet the needs of social services.
The social service objects of the physical geological database are scientific researchers, government leaders, teachers and students in colleges and universities, geological and mining enterprises, social organizations and ordinary people. People can use physical geological data to understand geological relics, the earth, stars, life, human origin and evolution.
Four Suggestions on Establishing Xinjiang Physical Geology Database
To establish a physical geological database in Xinjiang, we must first consider the following aspects.
4. 1 Select the mode of establishing physical geological database.
According to the actual situation, it is difficult for the Geological Archives of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to establish an independent physical geological database under various conditions such as facilities, equipment, economy and personnel. Therefore, a special collection institution-Xinjiang Physical Geology Database should be set up in Xinjiang Information Center.
4.2 Select the type of physical geological database.
According to the geological conditions, ore belts and physical geological data types in Xinjiang, the general physical geological database in Xinjiang is established, and special question banks such as core database, specimen database and wide (thin) film database are established. Conditional, you can also establish a certain scale of thematic geological database attached to the object.
4.3 The database management mode of physical objects should be considered.
Xinjiang physical geological database should be unified with Xinjiang geological archives in administration, and should be managed and served independently in collection management. In order to meet people's demand for physical geological information resources and social services, Xinjiang physical geological database collection institutions should establish a standardized, systematic and modern physical geological database management system.
4.4 Physical geological database reflecting local characteristics
Because the geological conditions, ore belts and types of physical geological data in Xinjiang are different from those in other regions, the established physical geological database is obviously different from those in other regions. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect the local characteristics of the physical geological database in the process of establishing the physical geological database in Xinjiang. The local characteristics of Xinjiang physical geological database should be mainly reflected in the following points: ① the establishment of physical geological database reflects multicultural characteristics; (2) The types of physical geological data reflect the local characteristics; ③ Scientific and diversified social services.
5 conclusion
In recent years, geological exploration in Xinjiang has developed vigorously, producing a large number of physical geological data. However, it has not been effectively preserved and fully utilized, and rich and colorful physical geological data are kept in the hands of different units or individuals, so many important physical geological data have been damaged or will be damaged soon. In order to preserve the damaged and threatened physical geological data for a long time, ensure unified planning and collection, systematic management and full development and utilization, and provide resources for the society, it is very necessary to establish a physical geological database.
