What does Jiao Ran's poetic style mainly talk about in poetic theory?
Jiao Ran's Poetic Style is the most important poetic work in the history of Tang Dynasty, which involves many aspects such as poetic creation, appreciation and criticism in theory. Jiao Ran, as a Buddhist monk, constructed this poetic work which embodies artistic creation and appreciation of poetry with the vision of Buddhism and Zen, the experience of Confucian scholars and the simple and natural mentality of Taoism. Poetic Style, as a work of Jiao Ran in his later years, is a summary of his years of creative practice theory, but its content is scattered and lacks systematicness. This paper attempts to grasp the poetic theory of Shi Pin from a macro perspective, and summarizes its trivial poetic views into three parts: creation theory, appreciation theory and style theory, and explains the items in each part in detail. From the microscopic point of view, this paper expounds the general outline of poetic style and the dialectical characteristics of these three parts with the dialectical theory of philosophy, and summarizes the dialectical and harmonious relationship of poetic style content with the concept of "one divides into two and is impartial". In addition, the reasons for the formation of poetic style and poetics are discussed in depth, that is, the internal cause of the confluence of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in Jiao Ran, and the external cause of the influence of Liu Xie's Wen Xin Diao Long, Zhong Rong's Shi Pin and Wang Changling's Poems. Finally, it evaluates the historical orientation of Jiao Ran's poetics and its influence on later poetics, mainly on Si Kongtu and Yan Yu's poetics. Through the discussion in this paper, the messy structure of poetic style is sorted out, the advanced dialectical color in its internal theory is discovered, Jiao Ran's personal thought and literary level are affirmed, and the position of poetic style as a link between the past and the future is highlighted.
