Describe and satirize the customs and moral standards of the upper class, and condemn social evils such as greed, hypocrisy, indulgence, slander and framing. In humorous language and funny plots, discussing social issues such as love, marriage and education contains serious moral purposes. Representative playwrights include Moliere in France, Goldsmith and Richard Brinsley Sheridan in Britain, Vega in Spain, etc. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900), a famous British writer, is famous for his profound literary skills. His four folk comedies have been enduring on the stage for nearly a hundred years. Wilde left a deep impression on the audience with his humorous language, and the truth contained in it was even more thought-provoking. This paper will analyze Wilde's four custom comedies from the perspective of presupposition theory, and reveal the operating mechanism of their humorous language. This thesis is divided into five parts: The first chapter briefly introduces Wilde's life and his four custom comedies, the research trends at home and abroad, the overview of presupposition theory and the feasibility and importance of implementing this thesis. The second chapter mainly analyzes the generation of humor from three aspects: vocabulary, syntax and pronunciation. The third chapter starts with humor and four presupposition mechanisms, including saving presupposition, canceling presupposition, contradictory presupposition and false presupposition, and analyzes the running process of humorous discourse in comedy. In the process of understanding the humorous language of comedy, readers have a gap with their expected results; This leads to innocence. By digesting good words, we can better understand the operation of humorous discourse. The fourth chapter studies the effect of humorous language. Wilde portrayed characters through humorous language, showed the themes of Victorian era, exposed the thought-provoking social problems of Victorian era, and expounded his unique views on Victorian era. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Wilde's custom comedy revived the silent stage of English drama and occupied an important position in the history of drama. Wilde reflected the emptiness and spiritual dilemma in Victorian people's lives through his humorous language. At the same time, Wilde also elaborated his aesthetic thought with the help of his humorous language, and he relied on this aesthetic thought to break through the dull moral atmosphere of Victorian era.
