Wuyi College is a public full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education on March 19, 2007. Its predecessor was Nanping Teachers College, which was founded in August 1958. 1962 1 Nanping Teachers College was established on the basis of the merger of Fuzhou Teachers College. 1September, 963, the school merged with several universities such as Xiamen and Quanzhou to form Fujian Second Normal University. It was closed during the Cultural Revolution. 1978 was reopened with the approval of the State Council.
The school has 1 national specialty, 8 provincial key disciplines (including applications), 10 provincial specialty and 10 provincial first-class specialty. China Academy of Social Sciences Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism Research Center, Fujian Key Laboratory of Eco-industry Green Technology, Fujian Key Laboratory of Wuyi Tea Resources Innovation and Utilization, Fujian Bamboo Engineering Technology Research Center and other 25 provincial-level characteristic innovation platforms.
Conditions for running a school:
The existing school building covers an area of 395,000 square meters, and the library has 2.607 million books (including117000 books). Chinese and foreign text mirror sites such as periodicals, newspapers, master's and doctoral dissertations, knowledge video databases and e-books have been established, which has effectively improved the level of service teaching and scientific research. All kinds of teaching, living, sports and other facilities are complete, and a modern campus with humanities, ecology, gardens and digitalization has begun to take shape.
