2. Click Insert Caption, and the caption will pop up. We will enter a description of the chart or other information in the title, and then click OK.
3. This adds a title corresponding to our chart, as shown in the figure. Similarly, we add titles to all charts in word that need to generate a table of figures.
4. If we modify or copy the past, we need to select the number, right click, pop-up menu, and click Update field.
5. Insert the table of contents: After adding all the titles, we can insert the table of contents. We put the mouse cursor where we insert the chart directory. Similarly, click the reference function card, select the insert table directory,
6. The chart directory dialog box pops up, and we can set the corresponding format and style. Generally, the default is ok, and no setting is required. When you are finished, click OK.
7. After confirmation, our chart catalog was successfully inserted.
8. If we modify the chart, remember to update the fields in the chart directory, as shown in the figure. Right-click to pop up the menu and select Update Field.
