How long will it take to write the master's thesis? First of all, it should be said that it should not exceed three years and not be less than half a year. If you haven't written an article for three years and start learning relevant materials, you can only explain three things:

1) The topic you chose is beyond your ability.

2) You are a greedy person. You want to write everything on your graduation thesis, but you haven't written it for 20 years. In fact, every researcher can only write within his own ability, even if his ability is limited, he can't produce clear results within this range.

3) It means that you have thesis neurosis. You throw it aside and pick it up again, but you don't want to finish it at all. You are in an absent-minded state, just using the paper as an excuse for other things that are not on the table. Such a person will never get a degree.

Not less than half a year. Even if I just want to publish a paper with no more than 120 pages in the journal, six months have passed in a blink of an eye because of the work of studying the work plan, finding the bibliography, sorting out the materials and editing the text. A mature researcher may not need that long to finish it, but it is based on years of reading, sorting cards and abstracts, while a college student has to start from scratch.

When we say six months or three years, we don't mean the time needed to edit the text. That may only take a month or half, depending on your working method. We are talking about the time from the initial point of view to the final completion of the paper. Maybe some students actually spent only one year writing their thesis, but in the past two years, he has accumulated a lot of ideas and materials from nowhere, and now it just comes in handy.

In my opinion, the most ideal way is to choose the thesis topic (including the corresponding tutor) at the end of the second year of this major. By this time, you are already familiar with your major, and at the same time, you know something about the topic, the difficulty of writing and even the situation of the topic, although you have not studied it carefully. If you make a choice at this time, you won't let yourself fall into a desperate situation. Because you have a year to find that there may be something wrong with your idea, you can change a subject, a tutor or even a subject. You know, it is not a waste of time to spend a year figuring out that what you want to write is not Greek literature but contemporary history, because at least you have learned how to sort out the bibliography, how to extract it and how to write an abstract. As we said in the last section, no matter what topic you choose, the thesis is actually learning how to organize your views.

If you choose the topic of your thesis at the end of the second year, you will have three summers to do research, and if possible, you can go out for an inspection. In addition, you can also take some related courses. Although it is difficult to add Latin literature to an experimental psychology paper, many students majoring in philosophy and sociology can persuade their teachers to lead part of the paper to their favorite topics. As long as students don't have a big understanding of the problem and don't play narrow-minded, smart teachers are always more willing to let them write articles with motivation and direction, rather than obeying orders and writing casually without enthusiasm, just to cross this insurmountable hurdle.

Choosing a topic at the end of the second year means that you have two whole years to prepare until the fourth year 10.

Of course, you can start work early. You can also start work later, as long as you start writing, all opinions will be settled. It should be noted that it is not too late to determine the point of view.

This is because if we want to write a good paper, we need to discuss it with the tutor at every stage as much as possible. This is not to bother the teacher, but because writing a paper is like writing a book. It is a job that needs to communicate with the public. The tutor is the only qualified "public" and will lead your work in the right direction. If the paper is written at the last minute, the tutor can only glance over the chapter titles or the final conclusions. And if the tutor is not satisfied with the conclusion of the paper at last, he will give a low score when defending. Because if you let a paper you don't like participate in the defense, it is actually his own failure. If he really thinks that students' papers are off topic, he will make suggestions in advance for students to rewrite or modify them slightly. After hearing the suggestion, students may think that what the tutor said is unreasonable, or that time has not allowed him to modify it. At this time, although he will still meet the dissatisfied audience in his defense, at least he already knows what this person is dissatisfied with.

As can be seen from the above, although you can accept papers written within six months as a last resort, this practice is not worth encouraging (unless you spend many years preparing carefully, and the last six months are just a sum).

But sometimes we have to finish the paper within six months. In this case, the choice of theme must allow us to write a decent article on this point. I don't want this book to be too "commercialized", as if we want to sell "six-month thesis" or "six-year" to different customers at different prices, but it may finish a good thesis within six months.

This paper needs to meet the following conditions:

1) The scope of the topic must be small.

2) The topic should be contemporary as far as possible, so there is no need to search for books that may reach the Greeks, or choose an unpopular topic, so there is nothing to write about.

3) All relevant information is concentrated in a small place, which is convenient to consult.
