Difference between Peking University Core and cscd Core
The differences between Beida Core and cscd Core are as follows:

CSCD and Peking University Core, these two core databases are the top two periodical databases in China at present, and the specific requirements of each province are different, and there is no absolute difference between good and bad.

The difference between CSCD and the core of Peking University;

1, including different disciplines.

The academic journals collected by cscd and Peking University are different in subject scope. Cscd only includes domestic journals of natural sciences, and the core of Peking University includes journals of humanities and social sciences in addition to natural sciences. That is, the subject scope of Peking University's core journals is wider than cscd.

Therefore, academic papers of science and engineering can be sent to cscd or the core of Peking University. Academic journals of liberal arts are not suitable for issuing cscd.

2. Different release requirements

Domestic core journals not only have higher requirements for papers, but also have restrictions on the identity of authors. The requirements of the paper can be understood according to the submission guide of specific publications. Relatively speaking, the requirements of cscd are higher than those of Peking University Core. The restrictions on the author's identity basically begin with undergraduate colleges/master's degrees/lecturers. However, science and technology can be sent to North Core, as well as to higher vocational colleges, enterprises and institutions.

The key to discussing which database is better is to look at the provincial regulations. In some areas, the weight of CSCD will be higher than that of Peking University Core, but some units only recognize the title of Peking University Core, and there is no difference in the quality of journals collected. The mainstream view generally holds that the quality of CSCD is better than that of the core database of Peking University. However, the key still depends on what the needs of the unit are, just meet the requirements of the unit.

According to the official website of CSCD China Science Citation Database, in 20021-2022, China Science Citation Database included 1262 source periodicals, 245 domestically published English periodicals and10/7 Chinese periodicals, which were divided into two parts: core library and extended library, including 926 kinds of core library. There are 336 kinds of extension libraries (the remarks column is marked with E).
