Keywords: New Moore's Law Broadband Access to wireless city Broadband Information Service
1 Introduction
With the rapid development of modern communication technology, computer network technology and information production, digitalization, networking and informatization are increasingly integrated into people's lives. At present, people's demand for intelligent services in residential quarters has become the focus of attention. In the past, people used to surf the Internet in their work units. Now people want to surf the Internet at home after work. Based on this requirement, the intelligent community must be connected by Internet and broadband. At present, the main problems existing in the network construction and application of broadband access in urban smart houses in China come from three aspects: trunk line, wiring and lead-in line, and broadband information service.
2 New Moore's Law
The new Moore's Law was put forward by john ross, vice chairman of the United Nations "1999 World Telecommunication Forum" in his opening speech: the capacity of Internet bandwidth will double every nine months, but the cost will be reduced by half, which is faster than the chip replacement speed of 18 months. This law is also called "the law of optics". SIAW(Moore, s IAw) has been used to describe the rapid change of semiconductor technology. On average, every 18 months, the chip capacity will double, but the cost will be reduced by half. "Optical fiber law" is used to describe network technology. The actual situation proves that the new Moore's Law is correct.
3 High-speed backbone network
To realize intelligent residential broadband access, the premise is that the backbone network should have enough bandwidth. For a long time, the speed of surfing the Internet has been a big problem for domestic network users, and a series of problems caused by it are also puzzling the domestic network community. These problems have brought a great negative impact on the development of China's network industry, seriously restricted the development of China's network economy, and even brought many obstacles to the development of China's Internet. It can be said that bandwidth controls everything on the Internet.
As far as the current situation is concerned, speed still restricts the development of domestic Internet. Tens of millions of netizens in China have suffered from the congestion of the information superhighway. For network users, on the one hand, surfing the Internet to find more wonderful enjoyment than ordinary life, everyone only needs a computer and a telephone line to travel around the world. However, due to the influence of network bandwidth, the enjoyment of internet users is limited to some wonderful words, lacking social application services such as multimedia special effects. Chinan Town, China Telecom, the largest Internet provider in China, has invested a lot of money to continuously expand its bandwidth in the past few years, but the bandwidth of the backbone network is only 155M, and it has only recently been expanded to 2.5G Other Internet providers, such as Jinqiao, education, science and technology, have been unable to get up the bandwidth because of the investment of resources. Network interoperability of various Internet providers also needs to be improved. For example, users of CHINANET are slow to log on to websites belonging to Education Network. Due to the slow internet access, objectively, the time required for users to obtain the same resources will increase, and the corresponding input costs will also increase and be hit. For ISP/ICP, the narrow bandwidth leads to an increase and the number of users grows slowly. ISP/ICP has been operating at a loss for a long time. In the Internet age, the ISP enterprises in China have not developed correspondingly, which seriously restricts the development of the domestic Internet industry on the other hand.
Therefore, the construction of high-speed data backbone network is an important aspect of the future development of Internet in China. At the beginning of August, China Telecom successfully opened the 2.5G high-speed loop circuit between Beijing and Shanghai, which made CHINANET's network performance and technical level at the leading level at home and abroad. Since 2000, China Telecom has launched a series of measures to improve domestic network performance and expand bandwidth, which has improved the access speed and quality of domestic network users. It is reported that with the efforts of China Telecom, the bandwidth of domestic backbone network has been greatly improved, and the international export bandwidth will reach about 1G in the second half of the year. By then, the speed and quality of internet users' access to domestic and international websites will be greatly improved.
In the construction of backbone network, it is suggested that the backbone network adopt ring structure, which can be SDH self-healing ring or optical fiber ring. Self-healing ring is most suitable for areas with many services and no interruption. Optical fiber ring is mainly composed of a large number of optical cables. Once the optical cable is cut, each optical network unit (0NU) can transmit in the opposite direction, thus achieving the purpose of protection. Optical fiber ring is most suitable for providing dual routing protection for potential large users.
4 Wiring and lead-in part
At present, the competition in the access network market is very fierce, mainly due to the diversity of access network technology and the complexity of its construction. Grasping the new trend of broadband access network technology development is very important for the construction of China access network, which has entered a period of rapid growth. Broadband information service began to rise, and IP access was first solved. If broadband technologies such as SDH-ADM self-healing ring or ATM fiber access are adopted in the backbone layer of access network, the solution of IP service will no longer be a problem. The key lies in the wiring layer and the attraction layer. At present, the available broadband IP access technologies include XDSL, HFC and Ethernet. These technologies have their own characteristics and are suitable for different applications. User services are diversified and personalized, and narrowband broadband will exist and transition smoothly in a certain period of time. Comparing the future access technologies of XDSL and HFC from the development of broadband information services. XDSL is a broadband l HFC based on telephone line transmission advocated by telecom enterprises and L based on coaxial cable transmission advocated by radio and television industry. Its application premise is to use the laid telephone line, as long as you add XDSL modem or cable, you can access IrItemet, and finally aim at the future IP phone. So whoever gets the whole community first will have the future service. ADSL technology can only provide 1.5M downlink, while the latest EDSL technology can only provide 8M downlink and 800K uplink, while HFC technology * * * enjoys 40M bandwidth. The more users there are, the more these two technologies can be applied to the original distributed, but according to the new Moore's Law, I think these two technologies will vary from letter to letter.
The flexibility of Ethernet topology is well known, and manageable control has always been an outstanding representative of the development of network technology. With the development of the market, Ethernet technology is changing with each passing day, from the initial 100M bandwidth to 100 m, 1GB or even 10GB, which shows its strong vitality. Especially after the emergence of LAN switching technology, Ethernet switching technology has developed more rapidly and its market share has been expanding, so that many early LAN technologies have been gradually squeezed out of the market. It can be said that in today's local area network market, including campus network, Ethernet has occupied an absolute leading position.
Ethernet access technology has the advantages of stable line, fast access speed, fixed IP address, relatively low cost, suitable for large-scale promotion and so on, saving users' investment. You only need to install a cheap network card on your PC to realize high-speed broadband Internet access. In the development process of more than 30 years, Ethernet technology has strong vitality and amazing development speed, which makes it gradually break away from the internal network field of enterprises, develop into end-user access network and become the latest access network technology. There are many advantages in using Ethernet technology to build broadband access network: this technology not only solves the narrowband problem, but also provides users with Ethernet interface and digital image interface, supports all kinds of broadband and IP services access, and easily solves many problems of access network, which represents the access network.
5 broadband information service
The goal of building wireless city is to provide residents with high-quality service of broadband interactive multimedia information, provide a good information environment for cultural education, leisure and entertainment, shopping and service, and provide users with a practical and cheap network platform, so that multimedia information and achievements such as education and cultural information can directly benefit from the Internet revolution. After broadband access is realized, VOD service, broadband MMS service (remote communication, online shopping, online teaching, telemedicine, video conference, e-commerce, home office, resource sharing in different places) and information inquiry can be carried out in the community.
It is very important to continuously enrich the content of broadband information services, provide users with more broadband value-added services, and make broadband networks become real broadband networks. It is related to the survival and development of the network, and it is also the inevitable direction of broadband network development in the future.
6 conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be seen that in order to realize broadband access in smart communities, the backbone network must first have enough bandwidth, and at the same time, the backbone network should adopt a ring structure, which can be SDH self-healing ring or optical fiber ring. In the distribution layer and the introduction layer, the technical advantages of Ethernet will make it the mainstream of wireless city network.
After broadband access is realized, residents in smart communities can enjoy various broadband information services provided by ISP at home.
Interest rates are getting higher and higher, and the most limited bandwidth is overwhelmed, so we have to withdraw from the market competition.
