A little knowledge of anatomy every day, heart.

1, front view

The heart is a hollow muscle fiber organ, which looks like an inverted cone, slightly flat from front to back. Surrounded by pericardium, obliquely located in the middle mediastinum of the chest.

Step 2 look back

About two-thirds of the heart is located on the left side of the midline, and 1/3 is located on the right side of the midline. The front face is opposite to the sternum and the second to sixth costal cartilage, the back face is opposite to the fifth to eighth thoracic vertebrae, and both sides are adjacent to the pleural cavity and lungs.

3. Internal view

The heart is divided into left and right halves by the heart diaphragm, and the left and right halves are divided into four chambers: left atrium and right atrium, and left ventricle and right ventricle. The ipsilateral atrium and ventricle communicate with each other through the atrioventricular orifice.

4. Blood circulation

Under the action of heart pump, blood flows in a certain direction in the heart and vascular system. Including systemic circulation and pulmonary circulation, systemic circulation and pulmonary circulation are interconnected to form a complete circulatory system.
