Su's Contribution to Archaeology in China
Since 1934, Su has been engaged in field investigation in Weihe River Basin, Shaanxi Province, and participated in the excavation of Doujitai cemetery in Baoji. In his report "Tombs in the Eastern District of Doujitaigou" (1948), he analyzed the characteristics of Zhou and Qin culture and put forward the problems of pre-Qin culture.

From 65438 to 0950, he participated in the excavation of the Warring States Tomb in Huixian County, Henan Province and the compilation of the excavation report in Huixian County.

1954 presided over the excavation work along Zhongzhou Road (west section) in Luoyang, which is a basic and meaningful work to understand Yangshao culture in Luoyang, the material and cultural features in Shang, Yin, Zhou, Han and Tang Dynasties and its development stages.

academic ideas

In the process of reconstructing the prehistory of China, Sue has already felt the difficulty in completing this task. However, in the process of reconstructing the prehistory of China, he absorbed the thoughts of classic works, defined the concept of "the origin of civilization", formed some new understandings of the origin of Chinese civilization, broadened his research ideas, and paved the way for him to reconstruct the framework of ancient history of China.

At the same time, it also found a theoretical basis for him to construct a framework model of China's national history. Therefore, after 199 1 year, he reconstructed the prehistory of China, and also considered reconstructing the framework of the ancient history of China, and then explored the national history of China.

Rebuilding the prehistory of China, the framework of ancient history of China and the framework of national history of China are three academic leaps achieved by the Soviet Union through the Study of the Origin of Chinese Civilization in the 1990s. These three leaps made Su's academic thoughts form a complete system.
